I don't think you are allowed to say AEG around here any more. I bought that to the noobie's attention who got caught in Rollo's pissing match and my post was deleted.
Holy crap, its the shitty heatsink/fan you had before.
Of course, the cooler you just bought doesn't seem to be a high performer either...
If you still have problems:
Zalman 7000, or 7700 (depending on CPU side clearance)
Also, get a better rear exhaust fan.
Mom has fiber. It comes into the house on a network cable, no modem required like Verizon's DSL service.
Its fast, but its Verizon, and verizon as a company sucks.
Roadrunner via brighthouse charges me $34.95 a month for 7 down and 512 up. Can't complain there.
According to theinq.net the 7800 series cards are already being discontinued.
I'm starting to see this whole SLI as an "upgrade path" for the BS that it is. Nvidia is killing the shelf-life of these cards a lot faster then they used to.
I honestly could not tell you the last time they were wrong with an article I believed. Yeah, making perdictions for 2 years worth of CPU roadmap is going to have some holes...but they are pretty clear about when its rumor and when it has substance.
rant much?
Some people only need one machine. So a DTR thats easy to lan with is more then enough to make people happy.
I can get a 17" DTR that:
1900x1200
FX-60
2gb 400mhz in dual channel
256mb 7800GTX mobile
200gb of 7200rpm harddrive space (2x100 in raid 0)
2 8x dual...

I just said that BestBuy isn't like CircuitCity. This is due to BestBuy along with Office Depot (I worked there), both provide kick backs to employees who sell PPPs.
Such machines do not exist. At best the only part different is the motherboard, which means a lot. At worst you end up with mobile GPU versions, SODIMM memory, etc...
SFF is different, and with eVGA's mATX SLI motherboard, a full size desktop has nothing that a SFF can't provide. :D
Cool. I'm fully expecting the PPUs to come out in PCIe-1x and PCI. Problem with this new eVGA board is the PCI slot is on bottom. So I'll be stuck with an Audigy in the PCI slot and a PPU making heat in between two already hot video cards.
A better setup would be to put the PPU on the...
To get people a little more interested. eVGA has a mATX SLI motherboard thats currently OEM only. Few of the stats:
AMD 939pin
SATA 3G support (4 connections)
2 PCI-Express slots
1 PCIe-4x
1 PCI
2 USB 2.0 motherboard headers
onboard audio is 8-channel AC'97
LAN is nVidia Gigabit...
