Well overclocked my processor.

If I go over 3.8ghz I get unstable and I think it is because of the C2 stepping. I'm happy with it though because now under load the temp doesn't go above 50c which before it would go up into the high 60s even at...
Just installed my Kuhler 920.

Big improvement for only $100. Going to try...
So installed the Kuhler and did some cable management to the best of my abilities. Looks a lot better but not as good as a lot of folks rigs around here. Gonna keep working at it....especially those GPU power cables. Also need to get some black SATA cables.
Those deck keyboards are really nice. I was looking the Decks, daskeyboards and Leopold "tenkeyless". In the end though I didn't need lights, didn't like the look of the das and I like having a number pad.
I think it's a great keyboard. Feels sturdy and really smooth to type on. The customer service was great, had a question and had it answered within an hour. Also quick shipping, ordered Sunday got it Wednesday...and I live on Oahu.
It's my first mechanical keyboard so I kinda had to make a...

I can't really compare them to any of the others but for my small bedroom I love them for music and movies.
Over at JR...some reason keeps messing with my links.
Looks like instead of a $25 Discount they gave a 25% discount.

I'll be up for some fragging, haven't played Q3A in some time and I think its time for some nostalgia. Just give me the server details and the time you guys are playing. I'm way over in Hawaii so your guy's night will be my midday.
Seems like I fixed the temp problem. Tried reapplying the compound one more time and this time facing the HSF in the opposite direction. Before I couldn't get through Prime95 without it getting to hot for comfort (70-75C), so it did turn into a problem when it failed the test. Now when testing...
Seems my cpu is running really hot. PC Probe is reading 55C just surfing the net, the MB is reading 38C. Yet running any games...like Crysis I don't get any errors or random reboots. Should I even worry about temperatures if I don't have any problems. I'm using an Arctic Cooler with Antec Silver...
No, I'm not a pilot, considering going OCS but haven't really decided if I want to stay in. I'm an AET3 and just got down here this November. I use to live in Kodiak when I was younger, Alaska is a fun place and hope to visit it again someday.
A fellow Coastie?! lol
What you do in the CG? I'm stationed at Barbers Point in Hawaii so I can't help you out with the gamer shortage in Juneau, but even for a big town like Honolulu there aren't many PC Gamers.
Was wanting to upgrade to a 8800GTX but I want to know if it will be bottlenecked with my current processor. If so what do you think will be my best course of action, upgrade mobo to an AM2 slot or just get a better 939 skt cpu?
I was looking at a AMD X2 4800 on ebay...but would it be more...
CS isn't big factor for me because either way I'm buying a 4yr warranty at bestbuy because I live down in hawaii so sending the TV off for repairs would be way to much money to ship. But you say the Samsungs image quality is far superior to the westinghouse correct?
Right now I'm trying to decide between a 42" Westinghouse 1080p or go with a Samsung 40" 720p. Should I go with the 1080p or with a more quality brand? I plan on hooking up my 360, ps3, wii, and mabey my computer,. It wont be used for cable TV at all since I don't get it. Which do you think will...
Just started playing this weekend. I bought it when it first came out but it ran like crap, but now that I've upgraded my computer here and there it now runs some what good. I made a Defense/Earth, which I'm liking quite a lot. I just hit level 22 tonight and I'm on the 3rd part of Egypt.
My first LCD, and so far I am loving it. Games look great and the extra room I now have is awesome. My setup is nothing special, the desk is kick ass because it has two panels that come out on the sides which is great for flight sims to put all my charts on.
I just received mine from Newegg today, it came from NJ and its an "S" model. It's my first LCD monitor and replaced an E90F Viewsonic 19". The size of the screen is amazing and the room it cleared on my desk was much needed. I was very hesitant on getting an LCD because I never liked the way...
I am interested in buying my first HDTV, a gift to myself for graduating basic training, but it will only be for a small dorm size room so it doesn't have to be big at all. I am looking at 26" or lower, widescreen and some where under $500. It also doesn't have to be flat panel. I am buying it...
You fail to remember that not everyone has an HDTV and that brings the price of a 360 up quite considerably to be able to match the picture quality on a computer. You guys talk in this thread like everyone already owns an HDTV while a lot of people, just like me, are happy with there old TVs...
Just finished playing through Mafia again, which is probaly one of my favorite action games. I also just played through my favorite adventure game, Curse of Monkey Island. Next I think I'm going to play through Alien vs Predator 2 again and play some more X3.
I use to play the orginal C&C at age 7-8. But what type of stuff is he interested in? Because if he is interested in Knights and stuff I would get him Age of Empires 2 like someone else suggested. Fun and some what educational :D
There is a mod in the works using the Freespace 2 engine. It will be stand alone when it is released too because of Freespace source code being released.

I was hoping that Monolith would continue the series after working on FEAR but I guess that wont be happening. Hopefully Sega is able to portray the atmosphere of the Alien movies like AVP and AVP2 did.
I had this problem to and It lasted for about 2months and then my PSU just went dead. Mine was an Antec Smart Power 500w, curious what yours was.
I ended up having to order a new one, which just came in today.
Couple people seem to be having this problem...
I think I found the CULPRIT! I took off the graphic plate on top of the fan and heatsink of the videocard and there was a dustbunny that covered the whole heatsink. Removed it and now it seems to idle at 55C and run at about 70-75C when playing a game. I have to remember to clean under there now...
