I just upgraded to a 7970, looking to sell my two 5850s that have been flashed with Sapphires 5870 Vapor-X BIOS to up the Voltage. I will say that one card did not like OCing as much as the other one, so I had them both at 815/1200. They were inside my Fortress 2 case so not much dust got to...

I think I need to redo my cable management, guess I didnt think to hide those PCI-E cables behind like that... Most other pics I have seen on FT-02 builds have those things just out there like mine, but yours, I kind of just did a face palm when I saw it.^_^ Now if...

yeah, I don't think I could ever buy an ULTRA product after doing a build for a friend where we used one of their cases because fryz had one for really cheap. Thing was a real piece of junk, nothing lined up correctly and the whole case rattled when we turned it on.
I'll hold out for the...
looks like the AX750 was only on sale for a day on Newegg.com for $149.99 ($129.99 after MIR) Price has gone up to $169.99 ($149.99 after MIR)

My current PSU that is several years old is starting to growl, figure now would be a good time to replace it before it locked up on me.

Can support 2 HD5850's in CrossFire Configuration.
Note- I will be adding the second HD5850 Toxic soon...
I am looking to either add to or replace my current hard drive setup.
Currently the two WD 74GIG Raptors running RAID 0 that I have are working fine in relation to performance, but now in the world of digital distribution- games are filling it fast.
I recently had to RMA one back to the...
uh just don't look directly at the picture and you wont notice the terrible cable management.
unfortunately the PSU has way too many cables, and the case does not provide any help to snake the cables behind the board...
Still its running great! :D
I am working on an upgrade build and wanted to put an XFX ATI HD 5850 or 2 in it.
I was planning on moving over the PSU that is in my sig, but not sure if it will meet the requirements. I am not familiar with power consumption and/or requirements.
here is the PSU on newegg.com-...
Thanks for all the information! I am going to order that cooler form SVC, and go with the RAM you previously mentioned.
as for the CPU, I have already purchased the combo in my original thread. I agree with what your saying though, I could have gotten a better deal on a combo going with the...
The Mobo had a 10% off Promo Code bringing the cost down to $305.99.
and as for Intel, I guess I should have stated in my post that I am an AMD fanboy. :p I know... Intel has the best CPU's... I wont argue with anyone about that. :D
I did consider the six core CPU... I might move to six core later down the road. :)
Like the cooler! Looks like a winner, ill have to search around for a deal.

same temps at full load running Prime95.
I didn't think 52 C was too bad for full load, but I guess the question is, when one core is popping above 60 that is a very bad thing?
my idle temps got moved down to 35-37 C :)
Its too late, already got the CRAZY Scythe ULTRA KAZE 120MM fans 3000's. :)
I will post my results after installation.
House temperature? I have no clue... No thermostat in the apartment :(
Hey lightp2,
I know it would just be easier to do a build, I have shopped around for parts about 5X in the last year. I keep getting something setup and looking over my part choices and the prices, it seems great until I realize I always like to get the high end tech (best stuff-most...
Sounds like adding more RAM isn't a great idea for the current build. I don't really think I need more, just saw the same kit for a cheap price figured might as well add 2GB...
I thought I had updated my sig... Must have had too many lines, now its updated.

Hi Tech Guru's, :)
I am in need of your assistance once again...
Had this build (see sig) for a while now, and it has served me extremely well, but since I have moved into an apartment with steam heaters, the temps in here get pretty warm, and that small change has caused me some headaches...
