Well after more troubleshooting, standard DVDs and Blurays will work. That particular movie I was trying to watch still will not. I'm not sure if its that disc or if the drive is working for the moment. Try out another disc or DVD in there.

I had some similar issues with a 5770 earlier. I've had my 9800gt for physx and I've had to switch back to using it as my main display. In games the driver hangs up every 10 seconds or so. On the desktop it will hang up for quite a while. I think its a driver issue.

What is the difference in ACPI 1.0 vs 2.0?

Anyone know how to slow down fan speeds? I enabled the setting in the bios but there isn't any difference with it on vs off. AMD overdrive only lets me change one fan speed, and that doesn't do anything either. The fans are plugged into the motherboard obviously. I'm guessing its a BIOS screw up?
