That's not the greatest, but I've seen worse.
I also got mine for $699 CAD and have been using it for about a week now.
This is my first 4k monitor and while the 40" size is great (actually not too big), I'm not fully satisfied with it. Here's some pros/cons.
Pros:
- 40" 4k is great...
This was for WoW, but I guess any online game would do.
I'm trying to figure out how other people talk and play well....
I use a desktop microphone and I push to talk when I raid or pvp, but the only time I can really do that is if I'm not moving around so much or if I have time to auto attack...
I'm using this headset with mic, but whenever I try I speak or when someone else speaks, people say I echo.
I'm trying to set TS/Vent so I DON'T have to push to talk but rather activate on voice.
Any help is appreciated. I'm on windows 7 64 bit.
I'm looking to get this cooler, but I don't know if it'll fit in my case with the hard drive cage.
Would someone be able to measure the distance from the video card PCB to the top of the fan :)
I currently have fraps record everything on my 2tb storage drive separate from my ssd games drive, but it still seems slow in recording. (record at 2560x1600)
I'm looking to add two more drives (between 1tb - 2tb total space) to run in raid 0 just for running fraps. I wanted to get two 2tb...
My brother wants a new desktop computer and his budget around $500 (no monitor needed since he just bought one)
He'll be using it for applications like Microsoft office, SQL server, etc. He won't be playing any games on it.
Should he go with a pre build system like what Dell sells, or...
I'm using windows 7 64 bit and have my hard drives set on AHCI, but all my internal drives have the, "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon in the taskbar. How do I eliminate this?
Before the format I had my drives set on IDE and didn't have this problem....
Anyone else have the problem when you have maximized windows in the background and you turn off your monitor then turn it back on, the windows (i.e firefox, windows explorer) shrink in size? I then have to maximize it again. btw, this only happens with display port, not dvi.
How exactly do I re-arrange my disks? Basically I want my C: to be my disk 0, my D: to be disk 1, and my E:, F:, G: drive to be my disk 2. What's the easiest way to do this?

I know it's an old thread. But does anyone have a phone number to call and cancel?
I had done one of these citi rebates last year and can't remember if I used everything on it, however I would like to call them up and cancel anyways.
Where are all of the reviews for this monitor? I keep checking back on this thread hoping for another official review.... the only one I've seen is from cnet ::(
For those who have returned lcd monitors back to DELL, did you get charged shipping and restocking fees?
I've returned multiple monitors in the past never being charged, but when I spoke to a representative today, he said that the policy changed a month ago and that I would be charged for...
Is the HR-02 angled that much? Which one is correct?

I play both WoW and Starcraft 2 and was wondering if there's a way to add friends in Starcraft 2 without them being able to see me online when I play WoW? Is this possible?
Well it looks like this is my next monitor. They mentioned that the input lag was lower than the u2711, which is great because I didn't notice any lag when I had the u2711.
Now, I just need it to go on sale!
I actually had both for a couple of weeks, and they're both great monitors, but I ended up returning them.
IMO, the U2711 isn't worth the price for the size of the monitor, it really is only a tad bit larger then my current U2410. And the 3007 had the buzzing noise on all three replacements...
It just doesn't seem like it's all that much faster... maybe like 20-30 secs. Is that amount of time really worth $60 or so bucks?

Is the x6 1055t really worth it over the x4 945?
Is there a big difference in speed overall between these two, or is it just a few seconds that separate them?
I'll be getting one of these cpu's for a video editing / photoshop / starcraft 2 build.
My brother wants me to build him a computer setup but I'm not sure on all the parts.
He'll be using it mostly for video editing and a little bit of starcraft 2 gaming. I also have a few parts from my old rig that I would sell him to save him some cash.
He doesn't have a specific budget, but...
I guess I should have mentioned that I really only use my computer for surfing the web and playing some games, mainly WoW.
The thing is, the 3007wfp is noticeably larger then both the 24" and 27", but lack the extra inputs (not that I would use them anyways, but it's always nice to have extra...
I have both the Dell 3007wfp hc and U2711 monitors, but I only plan on keeping one of them to replace my u2410.
Paid $900 for each of them, but I'm having trouble deciding on which one I should keep.
Should I:
a) keep the Dell 30" 3007wfp-hc
b) keep the Dell 27" U2711
c) return both and...
It's definitely not worth it IMO.
There's quite a few different air coolers that are on par or out perform the H50 for around the same price. One of the reasons the H50 has sold so well is because of the Corsair name and marketing. Remember, this isn't the first single 120mm rad h2o kit that's...
Do you use your lcd monitor just for pc use or do you have other devices like consoles and external blu ray players hooked up to it?
I have a Dell U2410 that has all the inputs you could possibly use, but I don't think I've ever used anything other than the dvi/power cables...
I do all my console gaming on my 50" plasma, so the monitor will strictly be used for pc gaming on regular desktop use. Both of these are on sale right now, Dell U2711 $899 or Dell 3007wfp-hc $999.
Which one should I get? Moving up from a Dell U2410.
