I picked up the x-fi audio for my 64 bit vista and i plug my mic in and it's not working, anyone know why it's doing this? I installed the drivers and everything.

I don't burn with Itunes, just when it reads a blank cd at all. Or when I was transfering songs from my external to my HD, it did that.

I get that blue screen with a crash dump message when I try to insert a blank cd or i was adding songs from an external HD to itunes..anyone know what's up with that?

I've had AMD for the last 2 comps and might wanna switch to Intel..nice change.

I'm planning to build a new comp...last time I built one, my 5800gt was a new vid card. I'll need a mobo, processor, vid card, psu, ram and case.. I don't overclock, but I plan on gaming...with a 1k-1300 budget, can I come up with something that would last a few years?

The best LCD out is the Sony XBR...I got the 40XBR2...absolutely amazing. 3 HDMI inputs make it great..got my cable and dvd player on HDMI. I picked up the omnimount mount for it so it comes out and swivels and goes in portait as well.

I think my RAM went because my comp screen turns all pink/purple and funky colors and freezes or just shuts down. This happens AFTER it boots up, so i'm thinking its the RAM. If I need new RAM, is it worth spending money on pc3200? I do play games and such and haven't upgraded in a while...

OK..so I have a desktop and a laptop. I started to do a lot of torrent uploading, so i figure i run Azureus on my laptop while i use my desktop for my productivity and such...Only thing is, HD space. I encode cds to FLAC, so each song is about 40mb..so does it make sense to get a portable HD...
