You should be able to use the onboard GPU, but not always. Adding a regular PCI video card will work fine for a 4th monitor. You can plug the 3rd monitor into th DP output with a single-link active DP-to-DVI adapter upto 1920x1200. Example...

Your HD6970 only supports 3 monitors because it only has one DP output. You can only use 2 of the DVD/HDMI outputs at one time. The HD6970 does support upto 6 monitors, but requires a model with more DP outputs. You can always add another video card for ~$30, like a HD5450, for more monitors.

You realize the current systems use 512MB of ram shared between both system and video card. 8GB is more then enough.

ME3 is definitely worth playing. ME3's Inventory system was nice balance between ME1 and ME2. The gameplay continued to improve onto ME2. And while the chat decisions were a tad weaker the story was good (except the ending, maybe?). It's just a shame the ending was such non sense. I still hope...
