I ordered one will post some results when it arrives. I really don't care about the power it eats up. I would rather drive a Porsche over a Yaris as well even though it eats more gas.
Well I have install the SP1 on 2 vista ultimate x64 boxes, 2 vista home premium x64, 1 vista home premium x86 and a laptop running vista ultimate x86.
not one issue so far but network transfers have increased in speed
They were all AMD machines with AMD/ATi chipsets and video cards
I got hosed by the 40G IBM drives as well, I replaced them with WD80JB which also hosed me, but I have never had a problem with WD raptors and seagates so far
HAHA this thread reminds me, I had a M2N32 Sli deluxe Vista edition that died 6 months ago and I have not gotten it back yet. Asus confirmed that they got it but I never heard anything back.
I had a 6400 and upgraded to a Phenom 9600BE only running at 2.4 with the quad I am loving it, I notice a little more lag in some FPS but my HD playback and Video are much smoother. When I tried to encode a video with the Quad I was blown away took almost half the time. :D
It just depends...
I went from a G5 to a G9 and will not look back I love the built in memory that saves my profiles and the middle scroll wheel is easy to use as a button without accidental scrolling, I am currently using the wide grip.
The only issue is the LED does not change colors properly.
I found it kinda pointless, I priced out a AMD Dell once and it was almost $300 to upgrade a 3500 to a 5000+.
I dont think they were really trying to push them out the door.
The system is stable up to 2.4 then it just gives me BSOD's, I really like the mobo and know that a few more bios updates and it will be great!
I have gotten this ram up to almost 950mhz at 1.85v I am gonna try messing around with it more once the weekend comes around.
Well here are some screenshots,
This is before I made the change my X2 6400 BE this chip ran crazy hot and I had to keep the fan spinning at max all the time.
You can see the fan RPM and I was actually undervolting it.
Now here is the phenom at stock Vcore and the fan barely...
Ok its not the vista, Im actually suprised how well vista is working out normally when I bluescreen XP a few times it just corrupts the install but vista seems to boot as long as the bios is set right.
Vista is working perfectly now with 8GB and Crossfire. I have tried both unganged mode...
I am running the OCZ powers upply with the 8 pin power connected, It seems like cool and quiet does not work at all and I can not overclock past 2.4 vista will not boot no matter what voltage.
Well as the title says I just popped out my X2 6400 BE and popped in my new shiny 9600 BE and now vista will not boot, It will only run in safe mode, I am getting no errors with memtest and am running it at non overclocked settings, Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
well ncvinny it seems it kinda works, I am running Vista Ultimate SP1, Cat8.1 and all the patches I could find, When I installed Cat 8.1 I had to take the 4gb out, Reboot with the 4gb, shutdown the computer properly then I put the other 4gb back in and it works!
Finally Awesome
Well I got a responce from Ati will have to try this tonight I will let you all know if it works.
Solution:
Thank you for contacting AMD Global Customer Care for ATI Products.
In order to address your issue, we highly recommend that you have installed all the required updates...
Its not the motherboard, I had the same problem with my Epox AD580XR and then I got the Asus M3S hoping it was a motherboard issue but I am still having the exact same problem.
and yeah Vista Cache ;) eats up the ram quick
here is my 3dmark score http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4386527
I am running A-Data ram its some good stuff! I can run 800mhz 5-5-5-15 at 1.8v and can get it to over 900mhz at 1.9, And I got all 8 gigs for $150 !!! half of what I paid for my 4GB ocz vista premium kit and its...
Ok I can not get 8GB to work with crossfire at all, I can run both cards but when I enable crossfire I get a blank screen and my system locks,
I am running Vista Ultimate 64, 2 Sapphire 3870's and an Asus M3A32, I got the latest bios and the system is prime stable,
Does anyone have any...
I picked up a M3A for $95, Its for a basic single card system. So far running stable with 4gb ram and Vista Ultimate. Only problem is that the cool and quiet does not work now.

Other than the fact that the computer was now quiet it did not feel any different going from the 2900xt to the 3870, that is why I grabbed another card!
Well I just upgraded to a pair of 3870's from a 2900xt and it was worth it, Combined they eat up less power have way more performance!
Before that I went from x1900XT crossfire to the single 2900XT and was still happy with that!
Well I had problems with the Nvidia firewall stuff I just installed the basic drivers, You could also try uninstalling the nvidia drivers and then installing them using the device manager and pointing it to the nvidia install folder.
My mini typhoon also hit the heatpipe. And while...

I have this board built into a machine that I need to replace do any of you know what board it is and any information on it?
All I know is that it is a,
Via Processor 667mhz
256mb ram

This is the best picture I could get of it.
Thanks Chris
