AC Cuplex XT di mounting question.

Thanks R1ck. I'm kinda set on getting a XT di and a mounting kit for my existing XT. I'd like to compare the performance of each. I wonder if the bases are interchangeable too.

How should I approach cooling both CPU and GPU?

    The youth of today! ;)

How should I approach cooling both CPU and GPU?

I'm surprised you got any help at all after that comment. There's more polite ways to ask for help.

AC Cuplex XT di mounting question.

I think it's probably safer to get a mounting kit anyway as well as the di. I may not be able to use my 1-in 2-out in my future plans. It would be easier to sell on my modded XT if it had a mounting kit for the newer motherboards. It would be nice to have the mounting issue confirmed though.

    2 x ATI 3850s vs an 8800GTS KO?

Which is why I haven't bought it [yet]. Maybe another reason why benchies of the new ATI cards in Crossfire are being held off?

AC Cuplex XT di mounting question.

Yes indeed. The weak point of that system is the crappy DFI RD200 mobo. I want to replace it with a 790FX and make a few alterations to the water cooling circuit. This time forget north bridge and hard drive cooling and all the stupid lighting. You see my 6 loop design could be very easily...

    Quad Crossfire on MSI 790FX

Me too! I'd love to see a 4x4 setup, water cooling each of the 3870's when waterblocks for them become available. Then we'll see if the new AMD OverDrive is worth the pilgrimage... My casebuild may be in for a reload...

It looks like he had to use a screwdriver to split that block apart. Coalescence at it's best (I had a dictionary for breakfast).

AC Cuplex XT di mounting question.

Can anyone tell me if the mounting kit of the AC Cuplex XT di will fit the standard Cuplex XT? It looks like it does, but looks can be deceiving. I'm about to change my mobo and cpu to a 790FX and Black Ed 6400+ but don't want to retire my modded Cuplex XT. Rather than buy just a new mounting...

    3850 vs 1900XTX

I'm wondering something simillar...how does 3870 CF stack up against X1900XTX CF in all the recent games? My DFI RD200 is an old piece of crap and now's my time to upgrade to a MSI 790FX. The planned Black Edition 6400+ cpu (no Phenom just yet) and a some DDR2 should be a nice boost (2x 16pci...

What the heck is this called?

Got your PM, I would have missed this thread! Yes, noobtard is right, they are anti-kink springs for the tubing. I bought them from airline pneumatics, the link is to a list of the types they sell. Should be available in the US. As for the flexible tubing on the lamp, you could trying...

Heavy artifacting in Portal with 7.10 drivers

I'm getting the same artifacting with my crossfired X1900's and the 3 games from the orange box. Thought my cards were overheating, but they sit around 60C during load. l'd expect a hot fix pretty soon.

    Project: parallel HEX (completed!)

The system is running pretty well thanks. l'm itching to make something else, but l'd have to sell Parallel Hex to afford it :( and l've got no idea what I would get for it. As for dust, it's not bad if l cover it when I'm not using it. lt does suck in bugs when it's on!

My Adventures in Parallel Water Cooling

Damn... I go away for a bit and when I come back everyone's an AC Hater. Shame on the forum... I really thought this thread would have been interesting to the water cooling community and expected more comments, theories and such. Go figure.

My Adventures in Parallel Water Cooling

I'll admit I had to Google Rube Goldberg, then check my family tree! Alas, no such distant relative but I see your point! If I decide to flush the system, I doubt I will put the Blue Motion back in. I'll keep with the generic additive. I'm happy with the 'foamer' at the moment tho'!

"Flush threaded inserts" - Where to buy???

I got all my plastics from The Frazer Company. Good prices, cut to shape if you supply a good enough image file. When you call, tell them you got the details from Alan, the clear pc bloke! Alternatively, try ebay. Seriously, you can get pre-cut cubes of acrylic of many sizes. The primary...

My Adventures in Parallel Water Cooling

Thanks Top Nurse, without the Great AC Multi-Tool Contest, it wouldn't have been possible ;) . Yes, that Blue Motion is bad stuff. God knows where the blue dye of the coolant is collecting, probably in the Cuplex, I haven't opened it up yet to take a look! I only put about a fifth of the...

My Adventures in Parallel Water Cooling

Having lived with my water cooled project parallel HEX for a little while now, I thought I would post some analysis to where the idea was originally born; here in the Water Cooling forum. I hope you find it interesting! Everyone arranges their water cooling blocks in series, what would happen...

    Project: parallel HEX (completed!)

Would you really? Strangely enough, a few people have asked about it too, but nothing solid. I've been designing a non-water cooled version of the case - not as tall and a lot less crowded, you can actually see the motherboard! As for making the Collector for folk, I would if I could do more...

"Flush threaded inserts" - Where to buy???

Dead cert - RS Components, stock number 278-562. You can even go to a trade counter if they have any in stock. It's the same ones that I used for my build, the first of your pics in your OP, my cropped image ;) .

    Project: parallel HEX (completed!)

;) Thanks again guys! Xilikon - Yes, it can be upgraded although the waterblocks would probably have to be replaced. It will have to be a complete strip down to change the motherboard, but no more fabrication would be required. As for upgrading in the future, the hardware inside is already a...

    Project: parallel HEX (completed!)

Thanks guys! 1. The inserts are really easy to use, you simply drill a hole deep enough for the screw you are going to use. Then press the insert into the hole. I used a small desk vice, but you can also just gently tap them in. What is important is the size of drill bit you use to drill...

Yes warmace, all good things must come to an end :p . I have thought of many ideas for other build, but time and money isn't available right now. When DX10 finally hits with a thud, then maybe I'll think again. I'm going to be keeping the crossflow fans sorry, possibly for my next build...

Ranker, I knew you had something good to say about AC! ;) Top Nurse, from you, the Queen of Perfectionism, that is more than a compliment! The way I see it, everyone one has their own reason for picking their weapon of choice. The arguments start when we use them for war (who's got the...

    Aqua Computer or Dtek

IBTL! If you boys are getting them out, AquaComputer - Cuplex XT, Twinplex, X1900 Aquagratix (x2), hard drive coolers (x2). Smaller bore is just more, elegant IMO. Excellent temps are achievable with small bore, low flow and AC blocks. I would prove it if I could my temp...

    Aqua Computer or Dtek

I was going to stay out this erm, discussion, but what the hell. A good while ago I posted a relatively unbiased preliminary review about the AquaComputer gear that I had bought. I'll be honest here and say that my initial reasons for selecting AC was their looks, so shoot me. However...

Grandad, is that where you got to! Such criticism about my lowly 17 incher :D . It's only for testing! I would have used the 42" plasma you can just make out in the background, but it's only SD so it's not so suited for hi-res testing. Fear not, my main monitor is a Sony FW900 24"...

To themark and Everfalling, I'd love to have some pro-shots taken of this case. If any magazines are reading  . Yes Arcygenical, I saw your plexi cracking in your thread, it does suck! Plexi is an awesome material, but needs some care. As yes themark, bollocks wasn't the only thing I...
