I just bought one too, as it seems, from the few people that have upgraded the firmware to a version that has not yet been released, seems to have addressed most of the issues. So I am hoping by the time it gets here, that firmware will be available OTA. Either way it is a big upgrade from...
In case anyone cares they responded positively at least so I am going to give them a shot. Will be the first PC in 20 years I did not build. I did skimp on memory and SSD and just bought those separately to throw in myself as the upcharge on that was too much to bear. Should have it within 3...
Hi I am ready / eager to build a new PC. As everyone knows, the new Ryzen CPU's, AMD GPU's and NVIDIA GPU's are all out of stock everywhere unless you count scalpers.
I am not going to, under any circumstance, buy from scalpers and feed that tactic. I'd rather wait a year as much as I don't...
That's a feature not a bug. Its a warning not to waste your time playing the game.
Sorry I could not resist. You seem to have tried most of what I would suggest. Clearly not your first time troubleshooting.
Regarding steam link - I think in many cases (I am not saying all) people that had "bad" experiences with it may have underlying issues with their network set up that are not readily identifiable because they are normally not apparent.
For example for a while my network would hiccup everytime...
Sorry for late reply. Only one game for me really uses CPU to full extent (along with the rest of the chipset) Arma 3. That was the only game I saw a decent jump in performance (I kept the same video card for the upgrade in this case). The game is notoriously hard on CPU. But it is also hard...
Totally agree with this and I was in the same boat. I used to upgrade every year then every other year. I finally upgraded from an i7920 3 years ago (I didn't last 10 years like you). But I don't think the CPU really increased much performance. I think the only real difference comes from the...
I liked rage also ... except right when it really seemed like it was about to get even better... it was over. It ended so abruptly it made no sense. But up to that point I really liked it. (then again, I paid very little for it).
Why would be much different than multiplayer games currently run on servers?
That same delay is there, just your local machine shows faster results - but its smoke and mirrors (compared to the "actual results on the server) that gets resynced constantly.
Local only games would never be as good...
I would be curious to know what you do that you would need to bother to spend extra money on a hard drive for more storage. At work, in general, the work should be saved on network drives so everything is backed up sufficiently.
This is what happens when you start letting things like Curling and other bar sports / goofy games into the Olympics. I feel like the point of the Olympics was to be able to say, who is the fastest, who is the strongest, most agile, most endurance, jumps highest, throws farthest, etc.
I have gone through phases with all the browsers.
I gave up on Firefox a few years ago, it became a buggy dog... I assume from positive posts here it is back to being a usable browser.
Chrome is usually solid / consistent, although I feel like it is slower than Edge right now. I like Edge on...
Too bad they did not call it "Competitive Gaming" or "Professional Gaming" or "Electronic Competition" or something like that.
They should make them stand up while they play. At least that way they are exerting themselves somehow.
This might be my jump into VR... Question for those that use these devices (and assuming this is similar). I have bad eyesight in one eye. Is it possible to independently adjust the focus for each eye? It says not to wear eyeglasses with the device. How does that work?
Me too. I am hoping I can buy a reduced cost pixel 3 or 4 when the 5 comes out (assuming I don't smash my current phone, which is the reason I bought the pixel 1)
Freebyrd, I came to say the same thing. I wish people would read a financial statement before spouting off and making up random big numbers. The information is readily available. Just go look at it before making up nonsense. It takes away from your point.
I don't kiss my phone... It's really pathetic calling any of the phones made in the last 4 or so year ugly. They are all rectangles with varying degrees of bezel and a few buttons on the side (or not). The back of the phone is irrelevant, since 95% of us put cases on anyway.
My favorite thing about gun posts is how triggered gun aficionados get when someone calls a magazine a "clip." I'm sure those guys never use a nickname for any tool, or device, and always speak with exemplary political correctness. Its also a certainty that they have never referred to their...
Oh man that picture of the rattler brings back memories. One of my favorite toys growing up. I also had the jet that looked like the blackbird and had a mini jet / shuttle on the back. Began a long history of playing with er.. by myself :)
I have not really bothered with listening to them at all lately (just hang up on them, or don't answer). But before it was "your window's PC is infected", or they are an energy company that can reduce my costs, or detected fraud on my account (with a bank I don't use), or of course any number...
I would love to get some RTS and strategy games on the Xbox. That's mostly what I use the PC for anymore. If they start porting those types of games over to Xbox (which has way more horsepower than most of those type of games need), I might hang up needing to maintain a high end PC.
I think I'll keep my 1080 until the next console comes around, then buy that console instead for $4-500. From a guy that bought new video cards like clockwork every 2 years for the last 20+ years, I think I am fully done at this price level. Most of my upgrades have been to make Operation...
