I use my Nook Color (CM7.1 via uSD) for dumb word games, reading, watching Netflixc(very rarely), and that's about it.
Next tablet will have GPS and a cam.
shaihulud - thanks for the useful post! With the information you have so graciously provided (not sure why you couldn't provide it in the first place...but that's water under the bridge) I have been able to track down even more information regarding this situation.
If the system tries to power up when you push the power button, then the "USB 2.0" cable isn't an issue. I don't think.
I don't think an ATX power supply will turn on if it isn't connected to a motherboard.
I believe you probably fried your motherboard with the Antec PSU.
I compared the pinouts from the Antec True480 and the original power supply in your Dimension 4550.
According to Dell's site your original PSU had nothing connected to the 20 pin ATX connector at pin 18. According to Antec this pin on the True 480 is supplied with -5 volts. Could be the...
Okay. Now for my rebuttal.
Pentium 4 Processors can address 4GB of RAM. The Grantsdale chipset supports up to 4GB of RAM. Windows XP PRO supports up to 4GB of RAM.
If you read my post you will note that I did not do any research because I did not purchase the PCs. They were purchased...
I have a customer with two GX280s that are reporting 3GB of RAM when 4GB is physically installed. I initially thought that perhaps two 1GB sticks and two 512MB sticks had been installed in each system.
I went onsite and powered one of the units up and found that they did, in fact, have 4 1GB...
Unless he paid with cash. Paper money is still good for some things.
And for the sake of staying on topic: I hit Staples and got the I/O Magic DVD burner to replace my current 8x. Dual Layer capability is a nics bonus. Got the 160GB drive, the 256MB Attache, and a 40 pack of TEAN DVD-R...
How about something like this?

If I had the misfortune of having a T1 and cable at home, I'd probably try to get one of these.
You can safely assume that they messed up the advertisement.
They definitely can (and most likely will) cancel the order.
I believe that once they have actually charged your credit card they are legally bound to sell you the item at the price they charged.
I have recently come across an older Compaq Smart-2DH array controller. I also have 5 18.2GB SCSI drives. I have installed the controller card into my XP box and attached 3 of the 5 drives. I ran the compaq ACU and set up a RAID 5 array. I have a few questions I would like to ask before I go...
Wow. The lighting is just unbelievable. Just look at the way the light is reflecting off of the guy's helmet and shoulder armor in the third picture. Hopefully the hype won't be as far off the mark as it was for Doom 3.
Sounds like you might have some fried electronics. The cheapest method might be to somehow get your hands on the same model drive and swap the electronics from the new drive to the old drive.
Data recovery is very, very expensive. I would expect something like a thousand or so. Maybe...
Whenever you get a chance.
Actually, if you go to this page you can see what the mouse looks like: http://eintr.net/systems/sun/kbd-type5c-mouse-type5/
I would like the mechanical rather than the optical mouse since I do not have the fancy reflective mousepad.
I recently acquired a Tatung Sun based PC. I have finally been able to get Mandrake installed and running. I bought a keyboard off of ebay and now I need a mouse!
If anyone has a Sun mouse that is cmpatible with the tye 5C keyboard and is in decent condition, please consider selling it to...
Thanks for the info, guys. The company I work for picked up about 10 of these units and I was allowed to take one home.
Don't know if it woill be worth all the trouble to try to get it up and running. But I may as well try. 5 of the units had video cards. None had keyboard or mouse. If...
I have some questions about a SUN clone that I recently received. The unit is a Tatung COMPstation U10. There is 1GB of ram (4 168pin DIMMS installed.) The unit contains an ATI Rage PRO Turbo graphics card. The processor is marked U10 440R.
My questions (which I may have answered...
Basically because I reformatted the drives. That'll pretty much do it every time, right? :)
I am a gamer and I also have a wife and two kids who sure as hell wouldn't know how to do anything in Linux. (Not that I am all that good with it...) So I always ended up putting Windows back on...
So I broke down and installed Linux. Again.
I have been installing various versions of it and then blowing the installs away for the past five or six years. I think the first ver I installed was RedHat 5.1. The latest is Mandrake 10.0 on my work laptop. I also have Mandrake 9.2 installed...
Well...I have dual P3/733s in an ECS D6VAA board. It's not really an overclocker's board but if you just wanna slap something together on the cheap it works pretty well. I believe it supports up to 1Ghz processors.
I have the non RAID version of the board. I think I bought it for 60 bux...
I had the exact same problem. In my case the problem was a stick of Crucial RAM. BF1942 and only BF1942 would just crash to the desktop at random points.
You might want to try running a memory diagnostic.
I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 with a Xircom RBEM56G-100 NIC.
I have to manually start the ethernet card and then run dhclient whenever I want to connect to the internet.
Is there any way to make the OS start the eth0 device at startup and then run dhclient in order to pull an IP from the...

I am looking to purchase a caddy for my M300.
I have posted in the for sale/trade forum and get PMs with links to ebay auctions but not much else. I am willing to pay 15 or so for one of these. if you have an old one that you wouldn't mind selling send me a PM. I can also use the Caddy...
Bumpage.
Come on. Someone has to have one! I can also use the caddy out of an N600 series laptop. So if you have one of these caddies let me know, too!
