    I Bought a 6800 / 6800 XT Today!

Canadian here - refreshing sites showed NO updates/products - and then - when they did update, they updated as out of stock. I am pretty sure Canada got shafted hard on the graphics. A shame since I live right by the old ATI headquarters.

    Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 2 | AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards - 11am CDT 10/28/20

I was reading into this, as I imagine we all have, and the underlying issue was apparently a lack of BGA substrate(s?). If this is the issue, wouldn't we hear of this, as it is not AMD specific, but literally impacts the whole industry?

    Everything is gone again?

Honestly, I feel like they should make a new store purchase page for these releases if they really want to combat this. Or build in more captcha like devices, design new captcha devices that haven't been seen before for release. That should tremendously slow down bot purchases. Think maybe a...

    Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 2 | AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards - 11am CDT 10/28/20

Oh shoot, I'm hoping they've improved since then, otherwise, the 3080 edges out in value I think. Yeah super resolution, and unlike DLSS 2.0, it's not dev sided and does not use an AI neural network. Though it's performance remains to be evaluated.

    Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 2 | AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards - 11am CDT 10/28/20

Ouch, what's the context behind this post, satire? Or is this based on an actual review that I am not familiar with? I am trying to gauge where the AMD RT performance is at, and I can't find the source data for the above.

    Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 2 | AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards - 11am CDT 10/28/20

Yep, and the 6900XT is also 300 watts. The 3090 spikes to 450 watts. Huge difference! Of course, we'll have to wait and see what the 6900XT spikes to with Rage enabled, but the PPW for AMD is way better than nVidia this gen it seems.

    Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 2 | AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards - 11am CDT 10/28/20

Super resolution is their answer to DLSS, and they do it via shaders being loaded dynamically as I understand on what data is out there. (Not AI based) I also am wondering, if "Full API" means, that the benchmarks actually did include ray tracing on, for both nVidia and AMD. Imagine that...

If Navi matches 3080 in Raster performance but not Ray Tracing... will we care?

Well here's what I think is different, they may have used AMD components, but were the architectures, and hardware environments as close to 1:1 as the new consoles and cards will be? It's my impression that they were not (but again, I am not sure, that's why I am sharing my thoughts from a...

If Navi matches 3080 in Raster performance but not Ray Tracing... will we care?

Sorry I am not following - are you saying that there has been console hardware in the past, using chips nearly identical in design to the PC counterparts, and there were driver issues? Don't get me wrong, I am still waiting on seeing results before I make a purchase decision, but if the next...

CPU bottlenecking with next gen GPUs - Specifically, is my 2700x going to bottleneck at varying resolutions?

If Navi matches 3080 in Raster performance but not Ray Tracing... will we care?

This could be naive on my part, but my understanding is that since the big navi architecture is being used for both the upcoming AMD cards and the next gen consoles, that for multi-platform games, development focus will first be on consoles (AMD hardware), and should translate to PC nicely...

CPU bottlenecking with next gen GPUs - Specifically, is my 2700x going to bottleneck at varying resolutions?

Hey everyone, like a lot of you here I am planning to upgrade my 4(?) year old GTX 1080 to a 3080 or Big Navi card shortly (or when in stock). Can I use a gen 3 m.2 in a gen 2 slot?

I did not initialize/setup the disk (I assumed this would occur automatically). Disk management allowed me to do this, and then setting up a simple volume on the now unallocated drive option is what I needed to do. Thank you for your response, sorry to have wasted your time!

    Can I use a gen 3 m.2 in a gen 2 slot?

No, I am only using the primary m.2 and primary pcie slot for my discrete graphics I'm concerned the 660p cannot run in pcie 2.0, and is incompatible, a consideration I hadn't made when purchasing, I am hoping I am wrong.

Department of Justice Charges Huawei and Its Executives with 23 Crimes

If you are implying America has been overly focused on Russia, and China has somehow, in some regard been free to fly under the radar as a result, I would disagree. Generally it's good to think your country is in...
