I had two engine crashes in the hour I just played. Temps were ok. Reloads from desktop after the crashes were quicker than many save game loads... but yeah, got two freezes.
Game looks amazing at 4K with everything maxed, 65-125FPS.
I’d keep playing if I didn’t have to work tomorrow.
My Fractal S24 AIO set to auto (I like quiet) isn’t helping me on the Cinebench test.
Thankfully, I don’t play Cinebench.
The fact I can now fly over NYC at 45+ FPS at 4K in MSFS is enough to convince me the 5800x is a great part.
Hitting 70C in Cold War. GPU @ 74C. Enjoying the campaign for sure, graphics are pretty good... some shadow weirdness here and there. Maxed out @ 4k, RT and DLSS running, locked at 60Hz. My monitor is definitely the weak point in my setup.
Hit 90C after 4 minutes in Cinebench R23...
Haven't tried burning my 5800x yet, but I have Cinebench R23 on the download just to have a look.
I'm idling at 39-44C, Modern Warfare brings it up to 74ish C. Just waiting on the HD Texture Pack to download from Battle.net and I'll be trying out 4k Ultra on Black Ops Cold War. If I'd known...
Had a buddy stand in line yesterday morning for an hour (ha ha ha) at Canada Computers in Oshawa. He was second in a line of 10 guys and managed to buy one of the 6 Ryzen 5800x processors they had in stock at launch. That's all they had, no 5900x, no 5950x and surprisingly no 5600x. He gets a...
Said yesterday it was impossible to buy a 3000 series nVidia card and was proven wrong this morning.
I’m a trainer for workers about to retube and replace feeder pipes at a CANDU nuclear reactor here in Canada and I’m on a 4/10 schedule.... so I woke up this morning on my day off and noticed...
Damn impossible to buy a 3000 series card in Canada. I personally know 2 other people who have even heard of a 3080/3070.
Super frustrating, but it’s not like my 2070 Super is junk. The Radeon 6950 Toxic in my daughter’s computer is long in the tooth though and she’s set up to get the RX580 in...
Happily using a Gigabyte X570 Master with a 3700x, Gigabyte X570 Gaming X with a 1600AF and a Gigabyte X470 Master with a 3100.
Previous board was a Gigabyte x48t-dq6 and had no issues with it either.
Running Raid 0 with a pair of 1TB Sabrent nVME drives on the Master, 32GB of Corsair RGB Pro...
Ha ha, been spending a minute on the F5 game and saw that a bit ago too. No dice though, just popped up a blank box and then finally went back to out of stock ha ha. Fun times!
Really wanted an FE, failed and was so angry I went about my day normally.
Will sit on my 2070 Super I guess. FE was the only version I was ready to F5 for.
Any legitimacy to that Bounce account that apparently had a bot buying up 40+ at a time for flippers?
I’ll try my luck with the 3090...
Soooo.... instead of letting people like us just flash the bios a la 5700 to 5700xt, AMD provided the path themselves, officially, minutes before launch.
That’s how I’m looking at it.
Pretty close to 5700 level performance.
Was able to complete a run of Firestrike - my score was more than halved from ~23000 to just below ~11000. Also noticed my GPU fans were not spinning during the entire test - fun to watch. Rechecked my power connections from the PSU to GPU, re-ran the test and had the same result.
Shut it...
Not to revive an old thread, but I'm reviving an old thread.
I just moved my system from an old Antec case to a Fractal Design R6 and added their PCIE riser.
I'm running NVME Raid with 2 Sabrent drives and I'm getting video errors while using the Fractal Design riser. First boot reset my...
Was having a great time with the campaign, seems that dev error 6328 is now preventing my rig from firing up the cinematic before the Hometown stage. Rest of the game is playable but it refuses to load the next level.
Anyone know what 6328 means specifically?
Back to The Outer Worlds for now.
Just flashed my Sapphire Pulse 5700 to XT. Used the Windows GUI, no issues. Gained 1000 points on Firestrike normal.
Will see what Modern Warfare does to it in about 25GB...
Sails through Modern Warfare @ 4K, settings cranked. ~50FPS average is what it feels like. I wouldn't play...
Came here looking for member benchmarks, I am disappoint.
The original Modern Warfare is the last I played in the series. 42GB left to go on the download before I play the new one on my new rig.
Edit - Just played the first 4 or so missions at 4k, settings cranked. Couple hitches but way...
It'd be great if I could actually play this game. Every time I get a free moment to fire the thing up, I'm able to clear some of the crappy stop and start license style tests and then the severs go down and I can only play arcade. Getting fed up with that facet of the experience already...
I'm pretty happy with Qualcomm's Quickcharge 2.0 on my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact... would be even happier with faster...
...even though I don't see battery charge values under 60% at the end of the day, ever. :D
I've been wearing my Moto360 since it's launch last summer, never leave home without it.
Battery life has dramatically improved since the beginning; two hours of driving to work and back each day and an eight hour shift, I arrive back at home with 60%+ of battery life.
I run ARUnchained in...
Microsoft Excel
Started off well enough, got fooled with some of the more complex strings.
Pros: Looks like I'm doing something for the most part while surfing [H] at work.
Cons: Got fired for not finishing spreadsheet.
Does anyone know what nVidia GPU they have in this thing? Massively interested if it's mid to high end...
...I'm worried, since the information seems impossible to come by at this time.
I haven't bought a PS4 yet but this was going to be the game that finally got one into my house... looks like I'm not buying into the next gen for a while longer.
If I just wanted to play BAP or Be a GM, is it doable? That 21-3 score is pretty concerning... what difficulty, Droc?
I own this watch, just bought it yesterday after winning 2k at Fallsview Casino. Ha ha, would never have bought it otherwise.
Battery life seems ok so far, not sure why I'd want a ton of horsepower on my wrist and the resolution is 'good enough'. It fashionably tells the time and allows me...
That's 100% of the reason I haven't bought one yet. Even without a decent games library, I'd still have a PS4 sitting here if I could stream media akin to or better than with my PS3.
Oh well.
Some hate playing MP with the types of people who are condescendingly incredulous when presented with logical ideas, these people may still play multiplayer.
I really want a PS4, but with the exception of Child of Light there are no games out for the system that really intrigue me. Coupled with the still-absent DNLA streaming and the price increase here in Canada... pulled the e-brake.
Lots of stock in and around the GTA right now.
Considering that I have absolutely no issues launching Steam and playing Civilization 5 on my 2013.5 MBA 11 with an I5 and 4GB of RAM, I'm calling out your HDD even though I think there are other problems with your system too. You don't mention any actual attempts at playing games, so can we...
While I'm a huge fan of V and VI, I cut my teeth on IV.
I've played through VII but not VIII, IX, X, XI, XII...blame it on my love for PC Gaming; I didn't own a console during the PS2/Xbox era. I've almost completed XIII but as much as I loved the graphics and sounds, the gameplay is...
I saw a kid playing an absolutely shit-brown Super Nintendo the other day in Mandalay, Burma. Super Mario 3 is awesome no matter where, when or how it's played.
Anyways, haven't looked in on a console war thread in a while. ha ha ha ha. Enjoy the games!
