WTH...people are nuts. Even if you had the money for it, why in hell would you buy that? Imagine the PC you could buy for close to 8k!!!!
Hats off to whoever made it though, not only does it look good but he sure knows how to make stupid ppl throw money at him. :p
It'll be surprising to see how "revolutionary" the controller really is. Right now, the Rev. looks pretty good. We all know it won't have knock-out tech specs, but Nintendo's boxes never do.
I'm all for the new controller and hope it truly makes for some fun games. I'll surely be pickin' one...
I liked Halo in its day, it's just an outdated shooter now. Don't know why people said it looks like crap, well it does now compared to these new shooters, but when it was released on PC, it looked pretty damn good. I remember playing the silent cartographer mission and being stunned at how good...
I thought it was the best damn war FPS to date too. At least in regards to the single player campaigns. You truly feel immersed in the action and the AI is just awesome. After an hour of playing it, I remember throwin' a frag grenade at one of the Germans and them throwing it back at me. After...
Damn, that sucks man. Thought BFG's service was better than that, but after reading some ppl's posts on here, makes you think otherwise.
I'm on my first BFG card now, never had a problem with it yet, so hopefully I DON'T encounter one.
Good luck this time around though, hope it works out...
This had to be mentioned before...Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. I got it bundled with my Audigy 2 ZS and thought it would be half decent, even amongst the horrid reviews. I remember installing it for the longest time, then uninstalling it 10 minutes later. Played a little bit of the first part...
HL2 is an awesome game. Can't say that the single player has much replay value though. I went through the game three time and haven't played it since, but it was a thrill to play all three times anyways. CSS never gets old and Deathmatch ain't that bad either. Make sure you know which deal...
I remember buying HL2, when I pulled out the 5 or 6 CDs I thought why the hell didn't they just throw it on one DVD?! I'm all for games on DVD, I'm not sure why the industry hasn't at least offered them as an option along with the CD versions. I liked how EA had BF2 offered in both CD and DVD...
LMAO...Yeah, just shoot at the guys with a red tag above their heads. If you have it on the easier setting, you shouldn't have much problem. The maps are particularly large and it gives you some time to get your bearings on how to play the game if you haven't played the BF series before. If you...
Slick lookin' keyboard. The only use I could see in the LCD would be IM, but then I guess you'd have to have a IM-Lock or something...lol! It would be cool if it could display your system temps and fan speeds, but that certainly is not crucial...at least not to most people. I would love to have...
You can't really be "scared" while playing a video game, startled yes, but not scared. The supposed "scary" parts in Doom 3 and FEAR are more interesting than scary. The only game in which I've come close to being "scared" is RE1 on the Gamecube. Just that freaky background music and having a...
Definitely Goldeneye, I still remember getting my N64 and playing that game for days straight, my attendance at school was horrible for about a month cause me and my friend had to play it before we left for school in the morning. Perfect Dark is also a favourite of mine, good memories of kicking...
At around $200CDN, you could get a nice 6600GT, but I still believe the best budget AGP card out there is the 9800 Pro, which usually can be had for under $200CDN.
Here's the link for the $220CDN 6600GT from NCIX.com
and...
Here's a link to Future Shop for a $250CDN ATI AIW 9800 Pro...
Simply upgrade you comp, I wouldn't dare sell off that X850XT. You really need at least a gig of RAM to play BF2. I have a gig and a 9800 Pro, it runs smoothly on medium settings, I'm not sure your ol' GF3 will run it well, perhaps on the lowest settings...and hell, what's the point then...
Downloaded the demo the other day, finally got the time to play it. While it was extremely short, I did enjoy it. Didn't show up that beautifully on my 9800 Pro, but you could still see the great graphics of the game. The slow-motion feature is simply awesome, melee attacks are very strong and...
I don't know why people have to get LCDs with such low response times. My last LCD, a Samsung 171s which had a 25ms response time seems absolutely no different in the same games compared to my current LCD, the Samsung 930B which features an 8ms response time. I've also had plenty of high quality...
Well its OCed out of the box by BFG, so it's obviously covered to those levels. I'm guessing that if you overclock it past those levels the warranty is voided...only logical.
Ouch man, sorry to hear. I never lost a video card, but obviously it sucks to be out of so much money. I don't think BFG will cover it though, I thought they only covered it up to their factory-OCed levels...could be wrong though. How long did you have it OCed?
The G5 case is nice lookin' but I would definitely not pay $300 for it off that one link. Don't be so sceptical of ebay man, if the guy has good feedback, and more importantly is a Power Seller, then you certainly can trust them. Heck, I didn't even know you could buy a G5 case by itself...cool.
Mine is in my sig. Been using Intel rigs ever since I got into computers. Finally taking the plunge to AMD though, Intel just isn't appealing to me anymore...*sigh*.
Don't expect much from Vista. Until MS decides to build a OS from scratch (never), there won't be much of an improvement. As for Vista's theme, it certainly isn't much new, it's however much cleaner looking than XP and some of the icons could be connected to OSX I suppose. Regardless, themes can...
Ah I see. I didn't even hear about the controller, but I certainly can't see it being revolutionary. Nintendo always has the best controllers in my opinion. The N64 controller was a beast, but it was mint to control. Gamecube was also enjoyable to use. I think that the only way Nintendo could...
I never leave my LCD on, if I leave my computer I simply turn it off. Not sure if "burns-in" the monitor though, however I assume it would obviously do some harm.
What exactly is revolutionary about the "Revolution"? I heard Nintendo will have apparently all previous games available on a library, but that is far from revolutionary. Nintendo will obviously be outdone on the hardware front, that's known, but they still carry an ingenuity that the other...
