So with the DPST I would connect the 3V from the PSU to 1 and 3V out to 2 and 12v in to 3 and 12v out to 4 while leaving the grounds straight to the HDD?
This was the DPST and diagram I found:
Circuitry:DPST
Contact Voltage AC Max:125V
Contact Current AC Max:10A
Thanks for the...
I have an external USB HDD that I only turn on to backup data and have always wanted it in my computer case to save space, but I didn't want it on all the time. Then, I read an article on a 3 way switch between hard drives which gave me an idea to have it mounted in my case and plugged in via...
I just picked this up at Best Buy yesterday and WOW is this thing great! Upgraded from a Sony SDM-HS75/B 17". I always have a hard time calibrating and have no calibration device, so could someone upload a good icc profile for me to start with? Thanks
Damn, thanks! Had some extra money and couldn't decide what to spend it on. I had been debating it for awhile @ 499 but with this extra money and $430 did it.
Thanks, that's what I thought, so I definitely want a bigger screen. Problem is, 22"er's are TN (I do not game, want accurate colors) and pixel pitch isn't as sharp as 24"s. Now the problem with 24"s is, price of course, and I hard time even justifying buying one because they seem WAY too big...
Would someone mind telling me the viewable screen height of the 20WMGX2? I have a 17" 4:3 monitor and I don't think a 20" is much taller, if it even is at all.
WTF? Last week or so, I use my credit card points to get a $100 CC gift card. A couple days later the L246WP disappears from the website and no stores have it anymore. That was my sole reason for getting the gift card.
I have been researching and nothing ever really seems to stick out as a clear best to me. The most important factors to me in order would be color, sharpness, contrast, pixel response. I mostly web browse, photoshop, and stream HDTV and currently have a Sony 17" SDM-HS75P. The 21" Samsung 215TW...
Yes I do all of which you named. It is the 740GD with only 8mb cache. I was thinking either grab the 740ADFD or 2x16MB 250GB WD or Seagate SATA-II in raid 0.
I just upgraded and my specs are as follows:
Core 2 Duo E6600/Scythe Ninja Heatsink
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Patriot 2GB (2 X 1GB) 800MHz DDR2
XFX Geforce 7600GS 256MB
74GB Raptor
Antec Trupepower 430W
BenQ 1640
I don't play any games so my video card is great for me but my hard drive is...
So I bought this Kingwin KF-811 sata mobile rack and I can't get it to hot swap. It works IF I go to the device manager and scan for new hardware but I want it to pop up automatically, is that possible?
System:
Intel Pentium 4 631 HT 3.0ghz
Asus P5WD2 Premium
Patriot DDR2 800 2gb...
Oops, yeah I knew that but just typed in the wrong #.
Is the ballistix really worth the $100 more? I've never really tried to OC but plan to make this 4.0 ghz or a little more. I just want a decent oc, not push it to the most stable limit.
I'm going to build a new computer before xmas and was wondering what memory to get.
Should I go with CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 1000 $265 @ 5-4-4-9 or with 2 x crucial Ballistix 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 800 for $440 @ 4-4-4-12 or even this CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 1000 $340 @...
It became whiny (almost a buzzing) when cpu usage went up and my 12v was at 11.90 - 11.96. I get my new one today and take out my TT 430 Purepower, boot up and it gets a high pitch whine when my cpu usage goes up. Also, the 12v is the same as before. Are these psus known to be whiny?
MSI...
I have an external hard drive that I do regular backups on. I will research the vidcard more, I don't know much about them. I don't know what 3d programs I'll use or if I even will, its speculation now. Just depends what route I take for school.
Should I go with dual core or get a 6xx with HT? I will not be gaming at all. I use photoshop, dreamweaver, some 3D programs in the future and encode video. I could probably go with a cheaper video card. Probably won't build for a month or 2 though. I'm new to OC/ing but will want to OC this...
