Everytime i open my powerbook up at a cafe here, and it recognizes it's wireless connection, adium and mail, etc. start immediatly idioticly using the connection before i can get my vpn set up. is there any way to prevent this?

i have a geforce 3 ti 500, and my system keeps crashing whenever i play a game... when it reboots, the windows error reporting thing says its a problem with the video card driver, but i have the newest ones from the site, so i don't see how that would be... anyone have any ideas?
