I want quality IPS panels that can do 1080p - with DP in & DP out. This is so I can daisy chain up to 4 monitors with DisplayPort (have a total of 11 monitors I need to connect).
Does anyone have suggestions for 20" to 24" widescreen IPS panels that have both DP in & out?
Thanks for any help.
After drilling and tapping 6/32" holes for the tempered glass panels - the installation on the first version of the Enthoo Evolv ATX case went smoothly.
Phanteks is even sending another set of thumbscrews and standoffs.
Props to Phanteks - they responded quickly to my inquiry at [email protected]
I asked about the new tempered glass panels for the Enthoo Evolv ATX case. Literally within minutes I had a response and they invoiced my order within 10 minutes of me first asking about availability. I have...
Like the title - how do I enable HPET in the Z170-Deluxe BIOS? I am running 1801 BIOS dated 5/12/2016.
I've Googled and searched the forums but haven't found the right fix. I am using RealBench and getting an error message about HPET not being enabled, that HWBOT will have issues with...
After looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 (on pre-order with B&H), and the ASUS ROG Strix OC (which I finally got into my cart @ Newegg only to find an email that the order was cancelled due to lack of stock this morning) - noticed that the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X...
I found an ASUS fan extension card for my Z170-Deluxe board - part number 14003-00580000. I need to find a 4-pin female to 4-pin female fan connector cable in order to hook it up but having a hard time finding one.
Does anyone have any sources for this? Thanks in advance. I searched on...
I have a version 1.0 Predator 240 mm and it has been flawless, no leaking.
I contacted EK & PerformancePCS re: replacement.
Definitely looking forward to new rear plate mount.
Very happy with my PG279Q as well - no major issues, great picture, slight BLB but not too noticeable - overclocked to 165 Hz and gaming on it is great. I was on the fence about buying it but after several weeks with the display I am really enjoying it.
Just curious what if any blue light settings any owners are using? I have the blue light filter set to 1 as I sit about 12 inches away from the monitor.
No problem. It depends on the angle of the photograph how much "bleed" you see. Since I don't just stare at a blank screen for long, I barely notice it. I really like the display so far.
Noticed something weird this morning - trying to go to Itunes Store it won't display at 2560 x 1440 resolution (I only get top tiles and bottom 3/4's content not useable). I can play movies and videos at the 2560 x 1440 resolution but can only see Itunes Store content by reducing screen...
These pictures were hard to take to appear properly, best I could do with lighting conditions:
Taking a pic of a black screen in the dark is not as easy as it seems and not sure it is a fair representation. The IPS glow would change in every image dependent on the angle or lighting.
Received PG279Q this afternoon and set it up, used the settings Swank recommended and applied his ICC profile he provided (ROG PG279Q_79_Standard Mode.icm).
I think I got really lucky because I am not seeing dead pixels or other issues.
Here is one quick shot I took after setup:
Thanks! Like you I enjoy tweaking too and appreciate you posting your profile, this way I can try a couple settings before investing in a colorimeter or software.
Once the display arrives, I will probably try the TFT Central ICC profile as their testing showed the brightness was way too high during their testing. Hopefully I get a good unit that has been quality controlled. Luck of the draw I guess.
I saw yesterday they came back into stock and got one ordered yesterday afternoon. Out of stock as of this early morning when I checked. I had auto notify on this display but never got notified when they did come back in stock, just kept checking and got lucky (or unlucky!).
The Windows 10 Pro 1511 update installed ok here - but I noticed it removed CPU-Z as an application after installation! I found that to be quite bizarre.
There isn't a later version yet to CPU-Z beyond version 1.74 on cpuid.com
Yes it is screamingly fast and the way I envisioned setting it up before I built the system.
I can imagine boards like the Asrock with 3 or 4 NVMe slots!
Thanks.
The only question I have now that the RAID 0 is set up, is whether or not I should install the Samsung NVMExpress version 1.0 drivers that are out.
Here are some info snapshots and brief benchmarks:
Paul is a frikkin genius! I finally got to see both Samsung 950 Pro's and created RAID 0 array in BIOS -when prompted to load drivers had the USB drive with X64A drivers on them - once they were loaded proceeding to install Windows 10 Pro on the RAID! I had an Intel 750 SSD drive in the lowest...
I never was able to see the 2 Samsung 950 Pro M.2's to create a Raid array. I tried the 1101 and 1203 Asus Bios versions and that made no difference. It would let me create a Raid array between one Samsung 950 Pro and my Intel 750 - but I wanted a bootable Raid array with the M.2's.
I think...
