Since "Santa" ordered my G.Skill 128GB SSD, the price has dropped 3 times (and will drop again before I open it) and now all these better drives are coming out! Grr.
Is there any armor sitting around anywhere that you guys have found?
I remember in SoC I found so much armor tucked in corners (not in stashes or anything) that I always had a backup with me. Now in Clear Sky I'm really hurting. I just cleaned out the underground and I'm still wearing armor...
When do the new Intel SSDs come out? Specifically the performance (extreme?) version? I can't find solid info anywhere. But I see Kyle's playing with one on the front page already.
I have a 9800GX2 and I have everything maxed out and running fine at 1920x1200. But I can't enable wet surfaces or volumetric fog or smoke or whatever the other one is. Shouldn't I be able to turn those on? Or are they DX10.1?
Edit: Never mind. Saw the answer in another thread. Got to enable...
AAHHH!!!!
It slipped again.
I kinda had a feeling this would happen. I knew that Aug. 29th set-in-stone date was too good to be true. At least they're pushing it back by a factor of days and not years this time....
Never mind open outdaoor areas. I'm still waiting for Carmack to be able to render a person's face as well as Valve or any other of a number of developers can.
In the second half of the list, I would put
Ubisoft
THQ
Sega
SCi (which includes Eidos)
and either SquareEnix or NamcoBandai to round off the list.
These are all developer/publishers in our Top 10 so far. To make a list of strictly developers would be tricky, as most of them are...
Maxius,
I am a Sony and RPG fanboy and I have to agree with these guys (unfortunately) that so far the 360 is the RPG console this gen. PS3 will get the ports though, and hopefully they will sell well so more companies will switch over to the dark side.
Activision/Blizzard (or more accurately, Vivendi) is gonna be at the top of the list with $7 billion a year NET INCOME and 35,000 employees.
Next will be EA for obvious reasons.
Microsoft Game Studios would be in the top 10, but it's hard to figure where. Sony and Nintendo would be too...
From the 1up post-E3 podcast: "I have some inside news. This E3 swung the Square Enix pendulum in the XBox's favor. The upcoming announcement (at the Square Enix party) will swing the pendulum in the PS3's favor big time."

I had to buy a PSP game at Gamestop today because they didn't have it at Best Buy or Target. Entire aisles are full of massive Rock Band boxes, so there's no room for PSP games, apparently.... Anyway
The problem I had was they had a used copy of the game I wanted for $29.99 on the shelf...
