    Battlefield 4 **Official Discussion Thread**

Someone may have already mentioned this, but I'm in a hurry and too lazy to do a quick search. For those of you on (Windows 7) older i7 cpus or such you might want to check out the video posted below. It seems to fix the stuttering in the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL-w3X0PQnk

    Battlefield 4 **Official Discussion Thread**

I noticed this on a few rigs running single 6000 series cards. It sounds like you played around with the settings to no avail, but lowering AA to 2x MSAA or disabling it all together and running post processing at medium or none fixed it on several rigs. I believe the rez was 1080p on those...

ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC Video Card Review @ [H]

So, it's based on the same chip. Thanks for clearing that up.

ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC Video Card Review @ [H]

I'm not sure how they compare in games, but the 670 has 1,344 cuda cores and 32 ROPs. So, it's a different chip design and I'm going to assume (the 760) that it's slower even if it's clocked differently.

ASUS Maximus VI Extreme LGA 1150 Motherboard Review @ [H]

I couldn't agree more. I made that mistake with an X58 board and I had to RMA it twice to Asus for various reasons. I've had cheap boards that lasted me years without any issues. It seems like you can get a pretty decent board for like $150 or so these days.

ASUS GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II Video Card Review @ [H]

I agree that 1080p is rather dated at this point, but I can't really consider it budget level yet. Sure, you can get a 1080p monitor dirt cheap these days, but you really can't max every game out there with a budget video card. A $300+ video card will struggle maxed out in at least 5 or so newer...

    Remember Me

I'm near the end of the game and it's decent. Something feels missing though. Could have been a great game. The graphics really do impress. It's not close to Crysis 3 quality, but the entire look and detail level is solid. The rest of the game is solid, but I started getting bored after...

MSI GeForce GTX 770 Lightning Video Card Review @ [H]

Are you guys shopping around and waiting for deals? I've seen reference 670s going for like $260-$280 brand new a few months back. I know a few people who bought some and the only complaint was that they couldn't get a stable turbo boost above 1,215. Most hit around 1,200 gpu and over 1,700 on...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Video Card Review @ [H]

My thoughts exactly! These prices are INSANE! I can't believe people are paying this and yes I can afford it, but I can't justify it. Granted I game at 1080P, but I'm perfectly happy with what I have. I can't believe the new price levels that Nvidia and AMD are pushing with the high end single...

    Metro: Last Light Discussion

I've noticed a few similar driver crashes on my 600 series card. Seems fine in other games, but freezes/crashes once in awhile in this game. GPUz log shows temps in low 60s, but the turbo boost and voltage keeps fluctuating in this game. My turbo boost is constant in other games, but is erratic...

BioShock Infinite Video Card Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

Game is over-hyped in my opinion. Not sure why this thing got such high reviews at certain sites. Gameplay is pretty basic and similar to most FPS type games. Story is decent, but nothing special. Graphics look decent from an artistic angle, but nothing really progressive. I think all of the...

Tomb Raider Video Card Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

Running Nvidia 600 series with all game updates and new drivers and the game crashes at various random spots. Sometime I can game for 45 minutes and other times it crashes in 15 minutes. It's no longer a driver crash, but the app just crashes. The good news is that performance has greatly improved.

Tomb Raider reboot will make PC gamers "very, very happy"

Yeah, I thought Uncharted 3 was a tad off from the first two. I lost interest about half way through and then finally finished the game a few months later. The first two games kept me hooked until the end. The story wasn't that great with the third. That said, the Uncharted games are some of the...

Tomb Raider reboot will make PC gamers "very, very happy"

Great game so far, but I'm getting tired of all these issues with so called "triple AAA" titles. I've lost count how many games are released with various problems. How the heck did Arkham City get released with broken DX11 features and this game has various issues as well. Not sure if it's just...

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Performance & IQ Review @ [H]

Yeah, you really don't need much if you game at 1080p or less. My unlocked 6950 still handles quite well at 1080p. Only downside to 58xx series is lower tesselation performance. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised with the graphics on Hitman and assassins creed 3. Both games look great on the pc...

    PS3 Jailbreak

This jailbreaking stuff cracks me up. It's funny because as a pc gamer all I've been hearing for years from various developers is how pirating is killing the pc side. So, I was amazed to see an actual market segment and industry devoted to selling mod chips and other various gadgets to hack the...

Are we getting to a point where there'll be less noticeable improvements in graphics?

It's all about the money. Selling as many copies as possible is the caveat. So, the main focus is on the console market and that tech is getting old, but who cares. Most of the console gamers are happy at 1080P. On the PC side, how many gamers were happy with Crysis when it first hit the...

    HP Computers Are Racist

Obviously, HP didn't do this on purpose. It would be quite foolish in our modern social environment. However, I would definitely take advantage of the situation and try and stir up a "hornets nest" and try and get some free goodies or even file a law suit. Sure, he might not win, but why not try...

PNY GeForce GTX 260 $330 AR + ship

At the end of the day, we need more than just Nvidia and ATI. We need more competition with leading innovation. Over the years, I've read about a ton of hardware and software gimmicks. It's all marketing to get people to spend more on useless features and products. What you do with your cash is...

PNY GeForce GTX 260 $330 AR + ship

Here's a neat thought straight from the Twilight Zone: "I didn't realize that DX 10.1 included special turbo cache that actually doubles the 4800 series ram from 512MB to 1gig. Wow. I can't wait for 10.1 to double the ram on the 4800s. I guess that 512MB will go along way and handle any new...

PNY GeForce GTX 260 $330 AR + ship

I love some of the comments on this board. Sure, ATI did a hell of a job with the 4800 series and their pricing was ultra competitive. However, how will these cards perform next year with only 512MB of ram on newer game engines? The GTX 260 should drop to around $300 to compete with the 4870...

BFG Tech GeForce GTX 280 OC & GTX 260

It all depends on your personal preferences. I can afford any of these cards, but I'm cheap. I want to get the most for my buck. I wasn't born to boost some company's profit margins. I think this new batch of cards has solid performance for a single gpu product and driver optimizations will help...
