lol
No! No, no, not 6! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 6.
7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like...
We are bombarded by earths magnetic field every second of our lives, and the sun's ultraviolet radiation. I for one am not worried about adding a little more magnetism to my diet. Taste like burning
I've never bought an upgraded version of Windows before, always OEM or Retail full version. Does a clean full version install perform better than an upgrade install? Anything that might cause a headache or two.
The upgrade pricing sounds very enticing, but I would rather pay the premium for...
That sucks that you had to sell yours.
I have been debating on wether or not I should go the ssd or get a raptor drive. Ive not heard very good things about the lower end SSD. Can anyone recommend a good bang for your buck SSD that is close to the price of a 300gb Raptor drive.
I just got mine last night for $222 total. I was able to use the coupon and all. I drove in the snow storm to get it. It took me 2 hours round trip. It was the last one on the shelf lol. :D
I am building a new system for Christmas and I am unsure which board to purchase. I will be using an C2 Extreme X6800 processor. Which motherboard is the better of the two? or is there something better in the $200 range? I had my heart set on the A1 but its sold out everywhere
Yes...
I am actually in the same boat here. I want 4gb of ram but am unsure of what overlocking ram to get. I will be going with the eVGA 680i A1 board and the x6800 core 2 extreme processor.
Is their any significant difference between these three drives?

I am really looking to get a 4gb 2x2gb set. Anyone know if these are any good? or can you recommend something better? Their is no way in hell I am paying $700 for the Mushkin ddr2 1066 kit LoL
I did check the stickies and they didn't really answer my question. It danced around it ,but did not flat out answer it. Their was a sticky on another forum that someone linked one time that really broke everything down ,but I cannot for the life of me find the link.
Can anyone here break down what all the numbers mean when you look at ram. example DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
I understand it a little bit but I guess what I am getting at is how do you figure out the FSB? do you divide the 800 by 4 to = 200fsb?
Yeah I probably should have worded the titled a little better. Honestly I am not looking to break any records here. I just want a nice stable overclockable system to game on.
I actually had my eye on these. I could get 2 of them for around $300 after rebate or buy the 4x1gb kit for $440. I...
I will be purchasing this eVGA motherboard soon to run my x6800 core 2 extreme processor. My question is what is some of the best overclocking memory out there right now for this motherboard and processor? Also I will soon be making the switch over to Vista 64 so I am leaning towards getting 4gb...
I've always had a signature, I'm not sure why it wasn't showing up for you. The monitor will be upgraded later on when I can afford to, as well as the psu. I just want to do the bare minium for now just to get my new processor up and running. I will be going sli sometime in the future as well.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. As far as hard drives go I will be using the 2 sata I drives I have in my signature, until I can afford a nice sata II drive. I will also be using the PSU in my signature. Will the OCZ power supply be enough juice to hold me over for a bit?
The monitor I...
I recently won an x6800 Intel Core 2 Extreme processor at a LAN party in MA. It was suggested by several people that I should sell it now and wait until July to purchase a q6600. I took the advice and placed the processor on Ebay, but unfortunately no one wanted it. I have since decided to keep...
Those people are just being petty. The reason I would be pissed is I drive home and decide to watch the movie a few days later at night, and come to find out the damn thing doesnt work. So now I have to drive to the store the next day waisting more gas and more time.
If I was to purchase a DVD at the store and have it not play at home because it didnt deactivate properly I would be so freaking frustrated that I would return the damn thing for my money back
