Anyone had recent dealings with this company? I ordered some lights for a client's case a month ago and they've still not shipped 'em. They won't answer email or phone calls. I've ordered from them before and never had problems like this. Are they going out of business or something?
Another vote for the Sansa line. I have an E250 (99 at best buy) and it does everything you want, including the removeable (microSD) storage option.

There's a hard case for it for extra protection.
A lesson that I learned is that you don't want to buy all this expensive hardware and then put something cheap in for the PSU. . . Doesn't do to fry all that expensive hardware with your cheap PSU. I'm building with Sparkles and Thermaltake Toughpowers right now.
I've found several emulators for the old Macs - - Classics, SE's, etc, but haven't found any for the new stuff. Is there such a thing? I hate to go out and buy a whole computer just for two apps.
are you logged into youtube? I rarely comment on there so it's not a big deal now that I know I can make it work by logging out, but I'm just curious at this point.
update - I have now uninstalled extensions/addons except for the talkback crash reporter (which is disabled anyway) and it's still doing it.
Update 2. This is interesting. If I log out of youtube it works fine. Could it be something wrong in the way Firefox handles cookies?
the only one I have is forecastfox enhanced. And now that you mention it, the animated radar hasn't worked right for the same length of time. It'll display data, but only one frame instead of the animated, and it's always 4 hours old instead of current.
In the last few weeks instead of displaying the vid it displays the source code of the page. The same link works fine in IE. I tried wiping Fox and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. Any ideas?
In the interest of balance -- and understand that I could be wrong about this because there are a LOT of aspects of second life that I do not understand and probably never will -- I don't think you CAN "earn" this stuff in the game because there aren't any quests or missions. In other words, if...
still though, if these people are dumb enough to pay real money for fake shit, maybe I should figure out how to make fake shit and sell it to 'em ;)
there was a book written back in the heyday of the cyber punks called Trouble and her Friends. Had a whole virtual world on the internet that they...
Yeah, but at least you could DO stuff with the everquest goods. buy a better sword, your game play is enhanced because you can kill better.
But buying virtual popcorn? A drawing of a couch?
OK so after reading some news story about a guy that's suing the Second Life company because someone stole his virtual money I decided I had to check it out. People are actually spending real money for fake goods. Coldwell Banker is selling virtual property. You can rent pretend apartments for...
just got Porsche working again. It's not as good as I remembered it. Maybe I'm spoiled by the physics of GTR and GTR2 now, but I found the cars very hard to drive because they didn't behave like they should in real life, while at the same time they didn't have the arcade racer feel. Kinda...
Yeah, sorry, I don't give out my name over the 'net, and I don't get into pissing matches over whether or not people believe me. I choose to take you at your word that you not only work for a nuclear plant but that you do so in some capacity that would let you know what the hell you're talking...
I don't think those are plant - -they look more like some sort of crumbling concrete thing.
And you guys still haven't figured this out. You might be 100% correct about the idea that a reactor can function totally safely - and I'll admit that while i've toured plants and gotten "inside...
Making smartassed remarks isn't going to help you win an argument. You're trying to convince us that nuclear power generation is 100% safe, will always be 100% safe, and there is no chance of anything remotely bad happening. We who live in the real world understand that idea is bullshit. Nothing...
That ain't safe man. . .
Glad to hear it. Now prove to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that the materials and systems in all future nuclear power plants will be of the highest quality, and that there will be no skimping on design or materials in the name of greater profits, and you might have...
If it was safe, there wouldn't have been a near-miss.
I know it doesn't need to be stored under the ocean - i'm saying that your claim of infinite space is further whittled away by the fact that it is anywhere from impractical to impossible to store it there.
And you apparently don't have...
As I recall the public was assured the Three Mile Island reactor was safe as well. . .
First off, since the earth itself is not infinite, we by definition do not have infinite space.
When you further reduce that available space based on the material you're digging in (not much good to...
Every time I try and grab a torrent (No, you won't believe me but yes, they're legal ones) my moto wr850G goes crazy. I can't get any connectivity on the other machines even after I stop the torrent. I have to reset the router to get my connectivity back. I think I remember reading something...
And what do you do when Yuca mountain is full? And what do you do when the train carrying the waste to the mountain derails?
I'm not saying nuclear is a definite no, but I am saying we have to think about this stuff. Oil should have taught us that when we use a fininte resource, eventually it...
Heh, yeah, I want an individually amped 7.1 system complete with bass furnace, but that whole money thing is what's stoppin' me ;)
I looked at the Onkyos - - they look pretty impressive. Anyone know about hooking up an external EQ to 'em though? My old amp had RCA EQ outs/ins and I'm not...
My much loved Technics receiver from 1996 finally died. Dammit. That was a great little amp.
So since it's been 11 years since I've shopped for an amp, I have no clue what's good. I ONLY need the amp - my speakers still work fine and they're very good - so I'm not looking for a full home...
Uhh. . .yeah. . .it's already illegal to throw pebbles at someone. It's called assault and battery, and in some areas the cops will go absolutely crazy with charges for stupid stuff like that. A few months ago I saw an article about a lady who was convicted of a felony for throwing an empty coke...
Since I was 5 years old I have never had trouble taking things apart until now.
I'm trying to take my R3000Z apart to get to the underside of the motherboard. I pop the back cover(s) off, remove the heatsink assembly, etc etc - - so I've got the whole underside of the motherboard exposed...
No, the trick would be to put the case into a large pressure vessel and depressurize the whole thing. Equal vacuum on the inside and outside of the case - no damage. But you'd still kill it when you turned it on since everything would overheat unless you ran coolant lines to anything that...
