I can, in fact I have one somewhere. Problem is that the computers are in different rooms, and I rent, so I don't want to cut open walls or anything. I was able to get 3 mbps in bursts, but it would settle at 2.5 mbps wirelessly. Guess I will deal with it. Thanks for the replies.
Trying not to spend any money. Want to utilize my current equipment to the Max.
Channel 1. I have changed some settings and am getting 3mbps now. Still, I figured I could get closer to 5 or 6. Streaming SD is fine, and 720 works okay if there is no other network traffic, but 1080 anything is...
Router is set to wireless g only, as every other wifi device i have is g only. Status says 54mbps, but I am still only getting 1.8mbps transfer speeds.
I am having issues with transfer speed on my network. I have a D-Link DIR-655 wireless N router. Two PC's.
My gaming PC is also a server of sorts. E6600, 4 gb of RAM, Wireless N PCI card, Win 7 Pro 64.
I have a small e6400 machine, 4 gb ram, Win 7 Pro 32, 1gigabit connection, hardwired...
I am looking for one of those drives, as I am refurbishing my laptop for a friend of mine who needs one. Any ideas on where to get one? Newegg and ZipZoomFly seem to not carry them anymore.
So, I have an old Dual P3 system that I am going to use for a windows Home Server machine. I need some suggestions on 2-3 PCI Sata cards. I do not need any type of Raid Support, because Windows Home Server does its own thing as far as hard drive shares. Anyone have some suggestions?
I was...
I just bought a Seagate 750 gig 7200.10 form Zipzoomfly. When I got it, it was the worst packaging ever. See the pictures. I am going to try to get them to replace it, but I would start avoiding them for hard drives. It was an OEM drive. Hooked it up to see if it worked, bios would not...
I am selling a dark blue, 1998 ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It has a 4.6L V-8, 4 speed automatic, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, AM/FM radio, traction control, super cold AC, police rear doors that are disabled from the inside, and a spot light. Also, the backseat is...
I have a 2gig version of the Patriot. great flash drive, extremely durable. Mine has gone through the wash several times, and still works like a charm.
I have searched, but have not found much info to solve my problem, so here goes.
I have used the program DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip DVD's (mine own DVD's) to my hard drive. Here is the problem. What program can i use to play them. According to Microsoft, Home Premium supports DVD's. When...
You really think so? If anything, Nvidia would pour all their resources into the 9 serires, because to invest in an 89 series, have the foundries switch over, etc costs money. Instead, since AMD/ATI has nothing to compete, they will continue making even more money with the 88 series. Think...
Try switching back to 0602. I have a very similar setup, same mobo using 0602 bios version, e6600, 2 gigs gskil, 8800gtx, a corsair 620hx, and 2 300 gig hard drives and a 500.
Running vista home premium with bios verson 0602, the latest 680i drivers from nvidia, and the latest gfx drivers from...
This might seem like a weird suggestion, but have you tried putting the memory into the other pair of slots? I have a P5N32-E SLI, which is a Striker without the LEDs and LCD, and it would BSOD, and be extremely unstable at all stock settings. I changed the slots the memory was in, and bam, no...
Actually, I think that you have it quite backwards. What this type of review shows, is the actual strength of the unit. If they just threw it in a quad core, 8800GTX SLi system, then they would be doing the enthusiast a disservice. the load tester does just that, it tests the load the PSU can...
If you have money in the budget, I would reccomend upgrading the PSu to either a Corsair 520HX or 620HX.

Although that is a "prototype" card, that cooler is really interesting, in how the intake fan sucks air up from the bottom like that. Wonder if there is a decrease in temps because of it?
I have my E6600 running at 3.2ghz, 3 SATA hard drives, a SATA DVD burner, 2 gigs o ram, and an 8800GTX, and it runs like a dream. Quiet, and more stable than any other rig I have had.
Then, in a couple months, you will be wondering why your PSU popped and hosed your system. I really suggest you re-consider purchasing the HX520. It is by far one of the best PSU's you can get for the money, no holds barred. Many people on this forum run them, and they are well worth the money.
Watts are not nearly as important as the AMPS on the 12 volt rail.
Here is a good place to find out alot of information on quality PSUs: http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103

Either one of these are your best bet.
You can find the HX520 for under a hundred at other sites, if you shop around. The 520, if I remember correctly, can do...
The HX620 will most definitely handle that setup plus some. I have one, with an 8800GTX, and it has never missed a beat. Should have another soon to add tot he mix.
You definitely won't be disappointed. I run an e6600, ASUS 690i mobo (not the striker), 3 hard drives, optical drive, and an 8800GTX and it has been perfect, even when I have been experimenting with overclocking.
The HX620 will do 8800GTX SLI no problem, and the HX510 can do it, but you really can't have much else in the system as far as hard drives go.
Both these PSU's have a tremendous amount of AMPs on the 12v rail, far more than many 700 and 800 watt PSUs. Because of this, they can do it.
I...
Lian Li V1000, V1200, and V2000 series.
Expensive, but the best case that I have ever owned.
Performance-PC's will do some pretty good mods to them as well
I just bought one of the new Samsung SATA Lightscribe DVD burners. I want to replace my current shitty burner that is going out. The current one is IDE. I have an ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard with the 680i chipset and three SATA hard drives, two 300's and a 500 in ports 1-3.
Should i remove...
I have this PSU. I have an ASUS P5N32-E SLI 68oi mobo, E6600, 8800GTX, 3 sata hard drives, sata DVD burner, some PCI cards, and three 120MM fans.
To put it simply, this thing kicks serious ass. Most stable PSU I have ever used.
