I remember this was a hot topic when the 680 & 670 came out and were missing much of the non-gaming compute processing power that the 580 & 570 had. People felt it was a re-badged mid-range chip because of that (aside from the chip code, unexpectedly low TDP, and lower Bus width).
Then people...
Looking to sell my Motorola SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. I recently had it activated and working with Time Warner Cable even though it isn't on their approved list (SB6121 is the same hardware and is on the list). Just moved to a new place where my roommate already has a modem.
It's in great...
I bought these speakers about 5 years ago and it looks like I've finally joined the issues club. :p
My speakers started having a problem where the sound was low and garbled and turning up the volume did not increase the sound. It was intermittent. Turning the system on and off a couple times or...
I was already using the latest driver with my GTX 460 / 8600GT combo and it didn't have the issue. 6xx series specific then.
The guy on the Nvidia forum with this issue went through the trouble of switching from his 680 to a 670 and swapped out his motherboard and still has the same problem.
It hasn't worked like you'd expect once, it has only failed to bring up the TV properly. Hoping it's a driver bug...the card is great otherwise.
When I turn the TV on, both monitors go blank for a second while the card detects everything. Then the TV shows up like this in the control panel...
Having a weird issue. My 670 loses my TV that's hooked up via HDMI when the TV is shut off. When I turn the TV back on, it will not display anything until I unplug the HDMI cable and then plug it back in again. After I do that, the card recognizes the TV just fine and retains the resolution and...
Got tired of waiting for the Asus model to show up at Amazon. Grabbed an EVGA GTX 670 FTW off Amazon with Prime Saturday delivery.
The Gigabyte card came back in stock after I ordered. Figures. Link for anyone wanting one...
Saw this over on the Asus forums when I was looking for some info on availability.
I wonder if they pulled them back to make some adjustments on the heat sink to make some more room around the power plug.

The Gigabyte Windforce model looks like the best value among the 670s. I have a windowed case that's inverted ATX so I can actually see the heat sink / fan on my card. Waiting for the Asus, looks way better.
Can't wait to finish my SB build...........
So you admit that it's $100 overpriced, but don't feel that's an underwhelming offering in terms of value? Were you trying to say a GPU you feel is $100 overpriced would make the midrange market not garbage?
The midrange market is garbage right now. ATI's offerings are underwhelming and Nvidia is taking an eternity to release anything.
I'm still waiting for something decent in the $300-350 range to replace my 460 so I can max BF2 at 1920x1200.
Last AMD card I had was a X1800XT. CCC was garbage then and people still seem to have the same complaints today.
Had lots of issues with the card waking and sleeping the monitor. Updating drivers was a nightmare, during the reboots the card would often refuse to display any video.....several...
So if the GTX 670 is meant to compete with the GTX 580, it would be around 10-15% faster than the GTX 570 that it replaces, while being the same price OR $50 more?
Just like the way the 570 basically replaced the 480.
I'm still failing to get excited about the 6xx series and Kepler. A new...
