Yes it does on the contrast but Dells 3 year warranty cant be beat. I had a perfect 2005FPW it was just to small for me. Dell has fixed most of the problems or complaints that have been around this board. I also had the Dell 2001fp its ok now was great in its day.

If you can get the Dell 2405FP for $700 buy it heck buy 2 or 3. If not the Dell 2001FP is ok if its $460.00 or less anything more your getting a little pricey because of its tech age the monitor has been around for a while.

Viewsonic VX924 I have this one. I went though 3 Dells before this one its perfect for me no bluring no ghosting great picture just adjust the contrast a little. Also no dead pixs or backlighting problems. But this is just my opinion on this monitor I got.

I like the looks of the base on the New ViewSonic looks great.
