NIS is a resource hog. Once I removed it I noticed a BIG difference in statup time. I now use Antivir and Zone Alarm. Much happier than before.

I don't know if Hotkey was being sarastic or not because Norton sucks, but if you read around, the two general best antiviruses are AntiVir and NOD32. If you're going to be cheap get the AntiVir for free. But if you're willing to pay for one, then I hear NOD32 is super good.

If you're going for free, go with Antivir. But if you're going to buy an AV program, I hear that NOD32 is the best.

Out of what I have read AVG, Avast, and ClamWin are free and supposedly good. I haven't used any of them yet, though. So out of those three, can anyone answer which one is the best and why?? I guess there's also Antivir
