You mean you need to spend more money to get quality? Shocking.
I'm not really sure why you...came to this thread to rant, I'm just posting this to let people know about the price drop.
There are already kits for around that price range, but the Vive Pro and Index are top end premium products. You're asking for a Supra for the price of a used Camry.

A long time coming, and still missed the mark. Not at least matching the Index is a massive mistake. Will help the used market buyers at least!
Im looking for a used vive pro! I have an original vive and im looking to upgrade, and to maybe save some money vs a brand new Index. Let me know your price!
So I picked up a 1080 ti on a pretty sick trade in my favor (oculus rift for his SLI'd ti) and instantly picked up an NZXT g12 to help cool it. I found an old corsair h115 to put on it, but it is an old, used cooler (who knows how long the pump will last) and I'd like to find something brand...
Bye bye Firefox and Opera, hello Vivaldi and Brave.
I actually just downloaded Brave the other day, seems like its founded by the original founder of Mozilla/Firefox, so it may be worth looking into. I suppose we'll see.
Ryzen CPUs and prebuilts are showing up now too.

EDIT: Neweggs page confirming a few things we basically knew already, 1800X and 1700X have no fan, 1700 comes with a Wraith Spire. Where are those RGB classic big Wraith coolers at?
Sadly, the MI LAN scene has more or less completely died out, or at least is a shell of what it used to be in the mid oughties. I used to hop around a LOT of the SW MI LANs (Boxheads, RoC, Waldoman) but a lot of them have shut down or are incredibly inactive. Maybe I'm wrong...if I am, please...
Hey all, its been some time since I've posted but I knew of no better place for this question.
I'm helping a friend design a budget gaming PC. All he needs is a mobo, RAM and APU. We've chosen to go for an APU as his budget is incredibly tight and his disposable income comes in very slowly...
So I picked up an old Casper monochrome amber CRT, and I had the idea of using it as a dedicated Linux terminal monitor....however, what I originally thought was VGA turns out to have a different, more simple pin layout (but the same overall shape), and is therefor not compatible. I was...
I bought these sticks because of their rave reviews and easy overclockablity. Within two keystrokes I took them from 1600 to 2133, and could go to 2400 if I wished....however, this is still in single channel.
Yes I have tried higher voltage, I am on 1.45v now for 2133. No change when...
The mobo is a straight replacement from ASUS RMA. I was shipped a new board before I was required to ship my defective one back.
I'm not entirely sure if its the that its dual channel, or its the sticks. These are a new kind of die-shrunk chips that I foresaw may have some strange...
So I finally got my replacement board in, and things are great, overclocking like a dream...
With one major issue: My RAM will NOT run in dual channel, only single. I'm using the newer low profile Samsung DDR3-1600 sticks, 8GB (2x4GB) and they overclock to 2133 with a flip of a switch, but...
My computer is not shutting down at random times (once every 5 days or so), and just did it as I was sitting here watching a stream. This, on top of the audio that refuses to work, the likelihood the board has killed my X-Fi, my complete inability to OC and a handful of ther problems, its...
I have to say, this motherboard (P8Z77-V) is one of the worst I've had the mispleasure of using. Now not only is my X-Fi card not working (and possibly dead?) But the onboard sound also refuses to work. It is listed as "not plugged in" in Windows...although when I use the Realtek software and...
I did this with no result, then re-flashed to the newest BIOS version and did so again and now have a solid POST...although now my PCI Xfi card seems to not work. This motherboard is REALLY touchy.....
Need help!
I updated my BIOS to the newest version (1606) and then attempted to use the AI Suite II to auto OC my 3750k. It rebooted, and continued to do so for over a half hour, sometimes locking with the GPU error LED lit and required a manual restart. After a cmos reset, the board refused...
Title says it. Is it worth the extra money to get the 16-phase over the 12-phase? I'm going to be overclocking an i5 3570k with a Corsair H60, and I am SO tempted, but could use the extra 35 to pick up other things in my order. What kind of OCing difference would I see? Anything noticeable?
Hey guys, I'm just about to drop the cash for an upgrade, but I'm stuck between getting a ASUS P8Z77-V and a ASUS P8Z77-V Pro. I can't decide, is the 16-phase really much better then the 12-phase? I do plan to overclock (3570k on a Corsair H60), is the difference worth the extra cash?
