I’m hoping someone here is willing to sell without crazy markup.. I’ve been waiting for an order to come through on ShopBLT and it’s gotten pushed back over and over. I need the card for work, so it’s a particularly frustrating situation. If anyone is willing to let one go, I’d massively...
I cannot find one at a reasonable price, used or new. Everything is at least $700, and generally over $1k. I have an order at shopBLT.com but it got pushed back three times now. Is there a huge shortage right now??
I RMA'd a power supply and they mistakenly sent this back. They are now telling me to discard it since they don't care about me shipping it back. What is it? I posted in here because it has SATA ports, but I honestly can't find anything from googling.

I'm using a 1080 GTX GPU, which is connected via HDMI to a receiver, which is connected to my TV.
I'm having two issues which I believe are related to the same thing:
A) TeamViewer shows white windows when I'm remotely logged into the computer - specifically Chrome and BitTorrent Sync. From...
A note about the M370X - as of right now, Apple hasn't sorted out major throttling issues with the card. I'm going to take mine in to see if it's there's something faulty, but if you google 'm370x throttling', you can see plenty of people talking about it.
Everything I've read seems to say the...
I can't actually confirm the Mac side of things works fine, because I can't figure out a way to monitor the clocks on Mac. *But* I don't see sudden stuttering on the Mac side. I *do* see the temperatures and fans hitting the same ranges as the Windows side.
I also notice a weird thing going on...
Okay, I understand that it's not a gaming computer. But I have a very hard time believing that it's normal for the GPU to get too hot after 15 seconds of running a 3D application.
I'm also fairly sure this isn't occuring on the Mac side of things (when I'm booted into Mac I mean). But, there...
Scratch the temperature statement I made before. I did a proper re-test with logging to a text file using GPU-Z. The GPU clocks 800MHz when I start the game, and within ~15 seconds the temperature spikes to 81 degrees. When it hits 80 degrees, the clocks sink down to ~300-400 MHz.
Surely there...
Maybe throttling isn't the right term. My temperatures are *not* high. The GPU is ~70 degrees when this is happening. This doesn't happen on the Mac side of things. It's a driver issue... so I just want to know how to force clocks.
I'm having a lovely issue with my 2015 Macbook Pro Retina which has an ATI M370x GPU. The driver is a special driver that Apple modified somehow, and it doesn't seem to register properly with my system... the CCC menu shows "Pinned" and "Presets" but that it is. I've contacted ATI, they tell me...
I have a dual monitor setup, but I'm confused about something.
If I turn off the second screen (it's a TV so I don't want to keep it on all the time), any window that was left on the second desktop space stays there. Is there any option to make it so if the secondary screen is off, windows...
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. The example of the external drive transfer to my internal drive was just a small example - this issue is affecting performance system wide with or without an external involved.
My internal drive is SATA. My external drive I mentioned in that example was USB3.
Sata. Hmm. I get that Im saturating the drive but since when does that mean not being able list things on the drive, load a website, etc? I would think those actions wouldn't require much transfer rate at all, I would think RAM handles most of that?
I've changed the SATA cable multiple times now, yes.
@Chas - I understand a little bit of slowdown but is this really normal?? I don't recall ever having this issue before, and I never experience this on my Mac systems...
I've had a weird problem for a few years now that I haven't figured out. Whenever I am writing large files to my drive on my PC (Win8.1), my system will slowdown SO much. Explorer windows are extremely slow, games stutter, Chrome will barely respond.
The strange thing at this point is that I...
Forgive me, I'm not knowledgable about router solutions at all.. but I'm definitely on the consumer level, I wouldn't need a business class solution (I don't think..). I checked out the websites of the names you listed - it seems they are either (very) expensive wired routers, or software that...
I need to replace my Actiontec router. What's a good router that supports DD-WRT, that has high memory? (I don't want the router to freeze up due to high numbers of connections ex. torrents)
Also, DD-WRT has good UPnP, right?
So, I bought an Xbox One+Destiny to play with my brother and a family friend. Turns out they never actually play. Quite literally every other person I know who plays games/Destiny got a PS4.
Pretty bummed. I only got the system maybe a month ago.
Would anyone be interested in trading?
Good to know, thank you for the info! I did find out that OWC has a custom chipset for their drives now, Oxford 946DSE+Oxford 3101, my buddy who has one has no issues with it.
I've returned one Startech enclosure (the really bad one), the other Startech enclosures I am RMA'ing. I'm outside of...
Really? Hm. All the enclosures I've used support UASP.
I'm guessing the 1053e chipset is probably pretty good since the Startech I have (an older one) is 1051, and while I have had random disconnects and I/O errors in the past, it's unusual. Still, not what it should be.
The general issue with...
Hm. Fair enough - it's just tough because there's no solid information about which USB3 chipsets are best for Mac systems - it seems there's a LOT of these issues with USB3 and Mac.
I know Thunderbolt is far better, but there are no single disk enclosures that are Thunderbolt, at least none...
Thanks for the info -
The VIA chipset is being listed because the one I listed is a 2-bay drive enclosure.
Hmm... is there any where I can find firmware updates for these chipsets?
For example, I have a Mediasonic HDL-SU3 which has a VIA VL711 chipset, but I can't find anything online about...
I'm troubleshooting a ton of issues with a few USB3 enclosures. I found two of their SATA chipset models on their manufacturer website.
However,
1) I can't find the last one's SATA chipset on the manufacturer website
and
2) In System Information, one of the enclosures says ASMT1051...
Does anybody have any use for these items? If you want all of them, I'm happy to ship them all together, $60 shipped.
Otherwise:

Crucial 2GB PC3-10600 CT2566BA1339 - SOLD
eBay is mfdingo, Heatware is dingobiatch.
I'll probably add some more PCI-E stuff tomorrow, but for now, I have a SIIG NN-FW0012-S1 FW800 PCI-E card. Selling for $16 shipped.
Heatware is dingobiatch, eBay is mfdingo.
i just got a ML07 case, and I like the textured look of the front panel but I don't like that it's not glossy - I'd like to spraypaint it with a clearcoat plastic spraypaint, but I don't know if I need to sand first... thoughts?
Thank you for the link :) This is what I went with. I also saw the Stinger, but according to a few comparison reviews online, it isn't great. That MSI board got pretty good reviews though.
Apparently it's only SATA2, there's no headers for USB3, there's only two USB3 ports, and according to reviews, it doesn't have a graphical BIOS.
The only things that bother me are the SATA2 and the USB3, however my point is just that it's annoying I can't get a new up to date version with...
