I work for BB (and yes we kinda suck for PC stuff) but oh well. When comparing the 900 to this rocketfish case, I think I may switch to the rocketfish. I have the 900, and it sounds like an airplane taking off. Plus the rocketfish is aluminum, so it does better with heat if I'm not mistaken...
When I built my new PC everything was fine for a good 2 or 3 months. Now all of the sudden every 3 to 5 minutes my screen freezes for a second, goes black, and then refreshes and a little error bubble pops up at the bottom right corner. It says a display driver has stopped responding and has...
So I have Vista x64, and I noticed that I cannot view picture thumbnails. When I'm browsing through my folders and files of images, it just shows the default windows picture file icon, and not a thumbnail. Anyone know a fix for this?
If all goes as planned, my friend with be taking my old sammy 205bw and I will be picking up the 2207 from best buy today. I'll try and post some pictures tonight with my experiences.
Also, has anyone done any HD content (HD DVD/Bluray) on this monitor? If so how did it work?
So when I first had my GTS it was teh only expansion card in my case. @600/1750 it would idle at 49 or 50C. I just put in a sound card 2 slots down, now it idles at 58C. Is this normal?
What is a normal temp for an 8800 GTS. I'm overclocking it as we speak, and when I took the core from 513MHz to 525MHz it jumped my temps from 49C to 52C. Id like to go higher, but how far is too far?
I can't get ATItools to work with my vista x64. It won't recognize my video card, it just says default. Is there no way to easily OC a GPU in vista x64?
I am in the middle of OCing my e6300. I am currently at 2.7GHz @ 1.41 volts. Is this an average voltage, or can I lower that to reduce temps? Speedfan lists my cpu at 38C, core 0 @ 45C and core 1 @ 42 C. All this seem right?
I have built a number of computers over the years, but I have never ventured into overclocking. My newest build sports a core 2 duo e6300 and the evga 680i board. From what I understand these two components work great for overclocking. I am wanting to try it, but is there a very easy guide for...
I'm in disk management, and I don't see any option to format anywhere. All I see is "convert to dynamic disk" or "convert to GPT disk." Do I use one of those options?
EDIT: I found it. Thanks guys.
I have a WD raptor X for my OS and games, and I have a seagate 320gb HDD just for storage. The Raptor is fine, but the seagate will not work. BIOS recognizes the drive, device manager recognized the drive, but when I open My Computer to access, it is nowhere to be found. I tried updating the...
I installed vista x64 on my raptor hard drive, then after I had loaded everything I went back and plugged in my 2nd 320GB storage drive (no raid). I cannot get it to be recognized. It shows up in BIOS, and it shows up in device manager, but I cannot access it.
Yes this was done in Vista x64. I am going to OC my cpu tis week, but I don't know what to use to OC my video card that works in 64 bit vista. Any suggestions?
Just set up my system. Scored 7497 in 3dmark06? Does that sound about right for a C2D e6300 (stock) and a stock 8800GTS 640mb?
Main Test Results
3DMark Score 7497 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 3530 Marks

So I just got my PC built today, and I'm using Vista Ultimate 64bit. I have the 8800GTS (640mb). I installed CS:S just to get a basic fps performace test, and it wasn't much of an improvment from my 7800GT. Avg was about 115 to 125 fps. Should I be getting more?

So I just put my PC together, and my 9700 fam is scraping against the heat fins. When I lift up on the fins, the fan spins great, otherwise it scrapes. Its instlled on the 680i mobo (A1). Anyone else have problems with this, or know how to fix it?
Just out of curiousity, what anti-virus do you guys use with windows vista? I realize vista isn't the best gaming OS, but eventually this will be my gaming/multimedia machine? Any suggestions?

Will changing out video cards with vista 64bit be a pain in the ass?
I have all the component to my new build, but I can't afford a new video card yet (plus I kinda want to wait to see what happens in the next month or so.) I have changed video cards like 4 times with XP, I didn't know it...
