duno if this will do anything.. but try flashing the bios (if you havent already). try using the sticks again after flash.

they will run in single channel. now you just need to determine whether running dual channel (2gb) will be better than running 3gb in single channel.

why dont you put up a fan temporarily and see helps with the errors in memtest. i personally dont think you absolutely need it. but thats me :)
