So basically I was wondering if you guys think that two 360's would be enough for a 13900k and 4090 FE. I don't plan on any crazy OC'ing, or anything like that. For the CPU I was going to limit it to the 253W TDP, and default boosting rather than let the mobo BIOS go nuts with voltage and boost...
As you stated, age is protected reason, even in an at will state. I would assume for that reason just about any half decent lawyer could argue that firing some one for not fitting into a certain generation is age discrimination, and to be fair, it is.
So as the title suggests. I am looking for a decent enough video editor for Windows. One that is free, and doesn't require hours of reading and YT tutorials on how to use. I'm not looking to make a Hollywood movie, just stuff for my YT channel and other things. Thanks!
And hear you shal'! I have had them for a full day now, and I can say this: I love them so far. Especially for the price I paid. They are lightweight, comfy, and the sound is very balanced. My only bit of criticism is that the 3.5mm cord they came with is shorter than I would have liked; back on...
I appreciate all of the input. I have decided to start with the Philips SHP9500 HiFi. They were well within my budget range, and seemed to offer what I am looking for. Once I have them, I'll report back on how they are working out. Thank you all!
Good point. This will be for gaming, and casting. Also some music, and movies since my computer is used for all of the above. I have a Yamaha MG10XU that marries my main PC and streaming PC together, and has my AT2020 hooked up as well. So whatever headphones I get will be plugged into the...
So if I'm looking to get the most out of my money then the 500/700 would be a good choice then? I also want something that is super comfy. The Sennheiser PC 320's I have now hurt my ears after a while.
Can some one explain the difference between these three headsets other than the price? They all seem relatively the same to me.
Audio Technica AUD ATHA500X
Audio Technica ATHAD 700X
Audio Technica ATHAD 900X
Thanks!
Edit: Budget is under $200.00, and this is for gaming, casting, movies...
I think that may have been it. I upgraded this morning to 8.0.6, and this evening when I closed it for the day the system didn't freeze. So I think Workstation just needed to be updated. Thank you guys for the ideas!
Yeah I'm at a loss as well. I have confirmed it is VMWare itself. As long as I don't close workstation it's fine. I can shutdown VM's all day long. It's the second I close workstation it craps out. Maybe Workstation 8 and W8.1 has some sort of issue that somehow didn't show before the reinstall...
Well never mind... I just shut down my VM for the day and closed workstation, and my host hard-locked. It took it a good 5 min before it did it this time though.
Damn, I didn't even think to do that, it's so basic. Man I feel dumb. I'll re-install VMWare tools and see what that does for me. Thanks man. I was so busy trouble shooting the host I didn't even think about that.
Another update: I created a new VM to do my work from, and it's been running fine. I can shutdown the VM, and close workstation without it crashing the host. I have zero idea what happened to my old VM but it's hosed. Or so it would seem. I check the folder permissions again, and they were correct.
Changed the permissions, and ran my usual work load (that's why the late response) and the system hard locked again after I shutdown my VM's and closed workstation.
I will check the VM folders. I didn't think of that. Interesting after what you said I realized that VMWare never asked me if I moved or copied my VM after powering it on for the first time after the reinstall.
I have VMWare Workstaion 8, and just recently reinstalled Windows 8.1, same core drivers as the original install of the host OS. I keep my VM's on my storage drive. After reinstalling my host OS, whenever I shutdown a VM, or close Workstation Explorer.exe hangs. When I check the event viewer I...
Thanks for the responses guys. That is a detail I left out of the OP by mistake; yes I did try it running the iGPU. On the first board the problem was somehow worse with the Intel GPU. When the system would hard-lock the screen would artifact first. The second board didn't artifact, but it still...
Well, I've been at it for a few days now. Been building machines for the better part of 15 years, and have NEVER had a machine give me the kind of grief this one is. This was going to be my file server, and dedicated streaming rig.
Machine specs:
Asus H87M-PRO
i7-4770 (Cooled with a Noctua...
I knew something didn't seem right. Starting with the fact that the command doesn't work in the way the blog would have its readers believe, to them calling it "code" and not a "command".
So small update for anyone who is still watching. I got the second card intoday. It solved ALL of my problems. I think I was maxing out the output channels on my 980. I also notice that wil all of my extra displays connected to the second card, when I'm in a game or any 3D program, alt+tab to...
Thanks for the info. No I do not plan on surround. I only game one my primary screen, the others will be used for productivity related things, and displaying other programs while I game.
I currently have three screens total running off of my GTX 980. My primary display is a 144Hz screen native 1920x1080. My two side screens are both 60Hz 1920x1200 (16:10) native.
Right now both DVI links, and the one Displayport link are all in use, leaving only an HDMI link. This presents two...
I am running Windows 8.1 64bit, and have two Samsung 850 EVO's in Raid-0 running off of my x99 MB's Intel controller. I was trying to find if running raid still supported TRIM/Cleanup or not. I remember that in Raid-0 it wasn't supported a while back but didn't know if that changed or not...
Wait, if I read that right, when you play a game with a single card it's fine? Since all other hardware seems to be okay, I'd say RMA your motherboard, or update your BIOS.
Game compaies figured out a way to get residual income off of it's customer base. It's a paywall that takes advantage of people by turning them into cash cows. Thankfully not EVERY game is like that, but most are, and most "big titles" are as well. Which is why when people ask why I don't or...
As of now I have a dual monitor setup, and have been considering adding in a third for various reasons. I play a bunch of different games with no issues, save for one game. There is one game I play at a competitive level, because of that I run a lower resolution than my native desktop...
I was going to set up my older gaming rig as a dedicated recording, and streaming PC. Originally I was going to get a second desktop mic, like a Blue Yetti for the streaming PC so the the stream can hear, and have the mic on my Sennheiser headset plugged into my gaming rig so people in-game, and...
Hahahaha
Let me clear up a few things.
1) While I am not a developer, I have worked on some big software projects though my career, and do build Linux scripts/functions. I understand software just fine. Thank you.
2) Using your little chart there:
GFE + My PC + Game = Problem...
Pretty sure. I installed the latest WHQL drivers about a week or so ago, and it still happened. I uninstalled everything but the graphics and physics drivers and have been fine since.
Also worth noting, that when the crash would happen and the drivers recovered themselves in Windows, GFE was no...
Okay then, Mr. Koolaid man. Riddle me this: Why is my system 100% solid now during gameplay WITHOUT GFE?
I didn't imagne my games/drives crashing, and what the fix was.
