Yea Ubi's strarforce is really disssapointing me. I see some Pirate's games coming out this year, hopefully they will be as good as Sea Dogs I and would be worth getting.

There is about the same difference between x800xl to x800xt as x800xt to x850xt, you won't run new games smooth at 1600x1200 :(

6800GT is a very nice card still, keep it till dx10 cards come out.

I vote for damaged card. By the way, have you tried running speedfan to check your temps? It could be that the heatsink is not making a good contact causing card to overheat. But it is more likely that the card was damaged by ocing, or running at temps too high for a long time, or shipping :eek:

It could be the sund issue. try using youronboard just to test it.

I do not think there is something wrong, you get around 5k scores in 3dmark05 which is very nice for x800pro. I have never used that site, I guess I will try it on my x800xl when I am home.

HAH, my steam is stuck on updating at 97% on all my steam games, I can play them..... but it still says updating, and that won't let me run in offline mode.

I have no idea how to fix it, bf2 has some weird bugs, i guess that might be one. Email EA support.

I don't know if that is your issue but my NFS:MW ran shit when i ran fraps on background, now it is just fine once I turned Fraps off. I play on everything on high, 1280x1024

x800xl DOES NOT run well at 16x12. it runs perfectly at 1280x1024. You should look into x850xt if you want to run at that resolution.

I prefer Ati myself. If you do not have a GFX card now, grab yourself a x1800xl or 7800gt (both cost the same, just depends on your preference). Then I would save up cash and wait for the release of DX10 cards, trust me it would be worth it.

Some pics would be nice. it really depends on how it looks like. have you tried different monitor? Also download SpeedFan and run it on background while playing games, or just browsing, and post back your temps.

i find it cool that they have tested it on simular CPU to mine, but you guys are right if the review is real, not too impressive, I guess i will sit on my rig till dx10.

Depends on what you have now, out of the ones you mentioned I would go with 7800GTX, if you want a 512mb version you are better off with ATi. However, I would wait till Q4 of this year when DX10 cards will become availiable, if you buy now you might regret it in Q4, unless you are rich. :p

LOL, they will all have a basketball and will kill you with their skill :p anyway I need a new pc for that. Far Cry looked amaizing when it came out, I think this will be even better, UBISOFT unlike EA has never made a shitty game, in recent years at least.

You need 2gb to run game smooth, that and 6600gt and you should run on high :). I run everything on max :)

Here is the problem, I can't dload 6.1 :( at least not till mid february. Connection issue, I can get all previous versions though (5.13 to 5.7). What would be the best choice for me out of those?
