I recently had to make the choice between 1156 and 1366 and went with an I7-930. PC will be used primarily for video editing though... Got the I7-930 for $200 at Micro Center so that helped with the price difference.
Same problem here.

Another vote for the Stacker 810.

I bought 3 of them when they were going for $109 back in Nov. Built like a tank (kinda weighs like one too), tons of space. Plain but classic appearance...
Maybe they "bin" these, lol.
Anyway, I bought mine through pcnation.com, who had the best price at the time w/free 3 day Fedex shipping. Also, I was very happy with the way they handled replacement of one of the LP3065s.
Here's link to the HP pixel policy in case you need it...
I have two LP3065s... had to go through 3 new ones and 1 refurb before I settled on these two.
The product numbers on mine just have EZ320A next to the product number, no "4" or "8".
The ones I got were tagged "Smart Buys" and priced cheaper than the non Smart Buy LP3065s... they are brand...
Just picked up a couple LP3065's. Brand new, from PCNation, @ $1,274 each. Both have dead pixels. Maybe you'll be luckier than I.

Sharing a current situation I have going with HP LP3065's...
I purchased two 30" Hewlett Packard LP3065 monitors from PCNation on 12/13/07.
Both have pixel defects.
One has a fully dead pixel on top left corner, and a dead green subpixel along top middle edge... not very obvious. I can live...
Glad I found this thread. I was considering the OP 750 or DA 750. Now I'll get the PC P&C Silencer 750. Buzzing PSU = unacceptable. Silverstone's handling of this unacceptable.
Blackstone, in your next email to Silverstone, send a link to this thread.
In my area, the stuff UPS delivers is always trashed. I spend the extra money and always use Fedex whenever I have the option. If I have a choice of retailers, their carrier factors in to who I buy from too.
How does running 96 dpi at native res on the lp3065 compare to 96 dpi on a 24" LCD @ native res, with regard to the size of desktop icons and sizing set at "normal" in apps? Some apps I use don't have resize options, and I want to stay with 96 dpi. Looking at buying some of these to add to my...
IT, full time telecommuter.
My company issues me a laptop, and we are allowed to use personal equipment as well.
I currently run 2 x 2405's on my main work setup.
For the folks in U.S. who have them -- what retailer did you purchase from? I'm considering getting these from HP Small Business or B&H... any other online retailers to consider? TIA
The light leakage is common, if not normal on e1705 screens. The LG screens seem to have the best reputation for quality. Dell uses at least 3 suppliers for the E1705 screens. If it doesn't impact your normal usage, don't worry about it. If you're still concerned, you can get Dell to replace...
The majority of complaints I've seen with Dells are with the basic/default standard screens (at least on the 15.4" and 17"). The screens are usable, but quality is inconsistent (light leakage, dark corners, poor viewing angles, etc.). I have an I6000 and just recently picked up a E1705 (I9400)...
Here are some other posts from others with the tilt/sag problem, it might help ease the pain and/or help address it :)

It's the stand, not the display. Try it on another stand. This is a common "problem", try a search on the forum, you'll find you're not alone. I've used four of these displays, currently have two. The fit of the rotation peg-stop varies. The four stands for these displays varied in "levelness".
This isn't uncommon with Monarch, although it appears they're trying to clean up their act. Until they address their "overselling", I'm sticking with NewEgg and other vendors who keep their in-stock status up to date and don't mislead customers.
Post your experience here...
Do a google search for nokia monitor test
That utility has some basic screens for monitor calibration, including an option for solid black, red, green, blue, and white screens.
Thanks :) I'd say my G520s and FW900s are about equal in the color-quality arena... making this comparison based on normal everyday use and also running through a bunch of Displaymate color intensity and gray-scale test screens.
That's a good point mathesar raised about the dot pitch...
My FW900s are dead silent. My G520s have a very faint buzz, that I can only hear if I go behind the monitor and put my ear against the top of the chassis, and I have pretty good hearing.
