Some interesting comments coming out of there:
Ask the world's most famous kernel developer what he thinks of the virtualization wars going on the Linux community between KVM and Xen and you'll hear a condemnation (of a sort) of them both. "I'm not a virtualization kind of guy. I think...
You could always setup a micro linux server on Amazon EC2 and send a request to remove the email sending limitations. You get the first year free to try it out.
You can limit by IP to the share either globally or on a share basis.
For example, to allow only the 192.168.0.0/24 network access to my 'stuff' folder this would do it:
[stuff]
path = /stuff
writable = yes
hosts allow = 192.168.0.
I wouldn't recommend using /etc/hosts.allow for...
# yum install system-config-firewall
# yum install policycoreutils-gui
That will install a user friendly front end for both iptables and selinux.
SELinux has a bit of a learning curve but isn't that hard to grasp. As for enabling selinux and locking everything down, that's fine but...
Honestly these tests are a joke.
I would say 90% of people cram for these multiple choice obscure questions and forget the material (because most of it isn't practical) within the next 3 months of passing the test.
The only true IT certifications worth merit are hands on, know your shit or...
We have been using Kerio (http://www.kerio.com/connect) for about 2 years in our production environment and it's as stable as can be.
It integrates with Active Directory easily and supports our 150+ user base easily, plus the cost is minimal compared to Exchange. Checking the server that...

If you allow untrusted users on your FreeBSD 7/8 servers you want to take a look at this as it allows local root escalation.
Emergency patch...
Retard maybe?
No but seriously man, I have seen no issues like you are complaining about. I have 3 friends with droids and have referred them to your posts. They have not experienced these issues either and are dumbfounded with what you are explaining.
Are you sure you don't have sausage...
Just got my Droid last night. I'm completely blown away by this thing. I'm in an environment where I have to setup and configure iPhones and Blackberrys all the time. So I have plenty of experience with the caveats of some smart phones.
I figured since my plan was up I would give this phone a...
Yeah it's going to be a bit expensive, but I need a hobby to keep me busy this winter. I plan on building a small tower and mounting the 4 boards on it to try and minimize the footprint.
Should be fun!
Wow very cool project they are doing there.
So to plug the separate pico psu's into each board and use one AC-to-DC adapter im guessing i would have to splice together the black and white connections of each psu so they can all go to one adapter? Is this correct...
I'm looking to get about (4) mini-itx boards and make a small cluster with them.
I'm having problems figuring out how I can use (1) power supply for all four of these boards. If someone could post some links or information on how to accomplish this it would be appreciated.
Wow this thread blew up, a lot of useful information here.
So to summarize the double install method would be to install the upgrade version of win7 with no key on a fresh drive. Then install over-top that installation with the upgrade key?
Sorry if this is redundant I just want to make...
In the past you could do a clean install using upgrade media, provided you fed the system a disc proving that you owned the previous version of windows.
Is this option available with Windows 7 upgrade?
So, the only person that really cares about Windows 7 will be hosting the party and they get to try and push windows 7 on all their friends!
The only friends Windows 7 fanboys have are other Windows 7 fanboys.
Giddy up.
I'll give it a whirl.
Is it possible for a VM to access the underlying datastore filesystem? If it is, I could probably just transfer the VM's to a VM on the datastore and transfer them that way? If that makes any sense ...
Right but what about the datastore browser? Should that also be performing so slow? Even when I try to upload through that my uploads are abysmal.
I also dug up this thread where they were having the issue...
I just ran iperf on the VM (the VM was acting as the server) this is the output from the VM:
C:\>iperf -s
------------------------------------------------------------
Server listening on TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 8.00 KByte (default)...
I'm also noticing slow transfers to the local datastore of the server. I tried out of curiosity to upload the VM to the local datastore and I was getting about 5-10mbps.
Would this have anything to do with the VM's running while I'm transferring data?
The iSCSI storage is Buffalo TeraStation's, I enabled Jumbo frames on it and still no go.
That was the original client I started with. That is when I noticed how slow the transfer was.
The datastore is hosted on a iSCSI server with a gigbit nic
Answered above, gigabit
The VM's are being transferred from a external hard drive attached to the workstation and being uploaded via FTP
Kinda confused what you're looking for here ...
ESXi box and the iSCSI servers are on the...
SCO is already chapter 11. They are going to be taken apart and sold, bit by bit. They have HUGE debts to pay off.
So even if they somehow pull out of debt and put up the funds for another legal battle IBM will chew them up and spit them out. Nothing to see here ... move along people.
[Edit]...
