That's the reason it's NOT a timesink! You can just set a skill to train and do RL stuff while it's chuggin away. You can put in as much time as you want really, apart from the time to get the money for skillbooks (but that's not much time anyway).
Any half-decent driving sim will let you set the clutch to a pedal. :)
Btw: check out www.racesimcentral.com if you really want to get into this stuff.
I saw a couple vids and I must say I'm not impressed. I was hoping for at least semi-realistic physics. But seeing a lambo slam a truck off the road and going on without a hitch really turns me off :(
Where in this thread did people compare VP to an Xbox360 game?!
It does NOT look almost next-gen. The textures, models, etc. are way too low quality to be considered almost next-gen.
Same here. Sometimes people ask me how I can just sit in a chair still for an hour without doing anything. ;)
Altough I can be impatient with people.
Some points:
- Probably lower grades.
- Very pale skin
- Less of a social life, altough I still have one.
- Loss of sleep. (gaming till...
OFP was and still is an amazing game. I still load it up every now and then and download some of the user made campaigns/mods/addons or muck around in the mission editor. It's too bad the physics could get very glitchy, and multiplayer was pretty laggy. I hope all of that is fixed in Armed...
Looks like they took the characters out of some random Japanese/Korean/Chinese MMORPG. Doesn't look amazing at all, IMO.
Also, notice the absolutely dreadful shadows, the overused bloom and overly shiny "fighting-effects".
I play EVE as well, my in game name is Kanthras.
I love it, even though I don't have all that much time to play it. (and I'm still in my newbie corp :p)
Jezus, just take a look at the trailer and you can know it's another stupid ricer game. It shows what seems to be an Evo and a Mustang drifting around a mountain road. If that doesn't tell you enough...
I liked NFS up to Porsche Unleashed, altough I think Underground 2 was decent, too. This is...
I thought the catchup was entirely lame. It felt like the devs put it in cause they couldn't code a proper AI. Which is probably true. A game shouldn't be hard in an unfair way, like this stupid rubber-banding BS.
Or.. a very nice girl walks by your house and sees you and your friends all on the couch playing a video game, staring like zombies at the telly..

Crying over a game is just as 'rediculous' as crying over a movie. In other words, it's completely normal and understandable. And implying only women or 'pussies' can cry over stuff like this is IMO rediculous.
Aye, and I doubt they'll be able to pull it off in the first generation. Much like how the first gen DS games didn't have very good touch screen implementation.
My vote goes to the DS, it's bucketloads of fun. Altough I have to comment on post #15, I don't think the DS will ever match the PSPs movie playback ability, simply because it's screens are much smaller.
