It ssems to be up now. At least I got this link for windowx 8.1 x64 -

Remove these items from the startup list using msconfig and create a scheduled task that starts them as administrator instead (if you want them to start on login for standard users).
Part of that is because if a candidate has already made mistakes at a different company, he's less likely to make the same ones at the one that's hiring him. It might have been Balmer who said he preferred someone who already made mistakes, so long as he was confident the person had learned...
If they don't hit 15 mil in 5 days, they won't make it. Crowd funded projects tend to start strong and end slow. We will find out how much momentum this project has once the day one priced devices have sold out.
Very true, however, this 'test' seems to be more of a project with a very short duration than a test, and if your an active participant and contributor in the group discussions, it's one of the most effective ways to understand what your learning which will benefit your grades when you write...
Intel GMA 950 is probably the oldest and slowest graphics that works on windows 8. I think it will require you to use windows 7 drivers, but they should work fine.
The Nvidia 6000 series appears to be the slowest/oldest NVidia cards that support window 8
AMD's HD2000 series appears to be...
Sounds like either a driver conflict (occasionally still happens when switching from NVidia to AMD and vice versa), or outdated drivers. My 7950 runs far cry 3 without any stuttering on 12.2 Beta 6
I have no idea how many were sold to major oem's, but I've purchased 3 win 8 copies so far. It's just cheaper to upgrade a win 7 premium machine to win 8 pro than to win 7 pro as required to connect to an AD server.
If I had to guess, id say 85% were sold to OEM's though, the rest being a...
While Bittorrent bandwidth usage went up 40%, how much of that is related to larger file sizes, and improvements in internet download and upload speeds?
How much of the increasing is from the same people torrenting more vs an increase in the number of people using bittorrent?
I've used it in a vm for a bit, and I don't mind it on the desktop. It's not as good as windows 7 for desktop use. In general though, I didn't find it will hurt my productivity in any way.
On the other hand, for touchscreen interfaces it's a huge step forwards, and if I end up getting a...
I'll be surprised if Google ever relents on it's real name policy, but I think they might allow public profile details to only show a pseudonym and not the person's real name. IE, you might only display your pseudonym(s) to people not in your circles, but display your real name to your friends...
The biggest advantage to slates is that they are easy to carry around, work great as basic note taking devices, and are also really good for putting in places where documentation is required, and always needs to be up to date. Because they have an embedded 3g modem available, the data can be...
I know a lot of people that have an iPad for business. They use it for note taking, and for easy access to email and files when away from their desk. There's just nothing else even close once it comes to form factor and battery life for the price.
I have the hr-05 on this board and it keeps the temps below 40 pretty much no matter what I do with the board. I have a thermalright ultra 120 extreme right next to it with a 120mm fan flow up between the two heatsinks (connected to the 120 xtreme) blowing the air right out the top of my antec...
My GA-965P-DS3 Rev 3.3 has finally died after 10 months, 4 of which my e8400 was running in it. It died after I left it running semi stable (failed OCCT) @ 4.0 GHZ , 1.35V over the weekend when i went on a road trip. When i came back it was still running, but running very sluggishly, and i...
Yah, just enable the drivers in the registry, restart with the AHCI enabled in the bios, and install the latest intel chipset drivers to get the intel AHCI driver. I just finished doing this in vista 2 weeks ago with no problems.
The DS3-L has not only more channels, but a higher quality onboard sound chip, more PCI express 2/4x slots and less PCI slots. The DS3 is also also all solid capacitors, while the other one only has solid capacitors around the CPU. The cooling systems are similar, but overall the DS3L is the...
9*450 works for me, but I had to put a fan on the northbridge heatsink to get it to pass pcmark vantage (there is a point about 20 minutes in that really seems to stress the NB/memory). It's been rock solid for me since. This is on a gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev 3.3 with the beta bios. vcore @ 1.3...
I can confirm that the e8400 works fine on the GA-965P-DS3 REV 3.3. I'll let you know how it overclocks once i get my fan attached to my Thermalright Xtreme 120
That KT333CF is actually an early KT400 before it was renamed. I used to have one of them. They don't like going much above 170 MHZ fsb (at least with my Athlon XP 2500+, now on a kt880 @210FSB), but do have the same deviders and memory support the KT400 has.
My previous post was on a system with 512 ram and a fast hard drive.
I've timed a laptop with only 256 ram and a slow 40gb 4200rpm hard drive. Startup times before the tweak were 5:00 and after the tweak 3:45. (this is to usable state, not completely loaded, but nearly there as it is not...
I tried it. It more than split my startup times and my browsers (firefox at least. ie always opened fast) seem to load faster as well. This makes sense as I enabled supercaching, restarted the computer, used it for half a day in which firefox was open and closed reapeatedly (and kept open for...
get ultramon. It allows you to set backrounds on different monitors and do a host of other things
http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/
or multimon. it might do it. I'm not sure if i gave the right link or not.

Dual core AMD's- I agree would be better. Will cost $600.00, this is $300.00. I can *hide* 300 bucks, 600 is kinda hard plus need to add at least the motherboard cost.

You need to add a motherboard either way as current intel motherboards do not support the dual core cpu's...
Which drivers are you using on the video card. If they are the nvidia 71.84 officials that could be the source of your problem since they have a temp bug that causes the video cards temp to increase by 20 degrees. (not only in drivers but when tested with externally as well). I highly doubt...
So you're comparing an Athlon 64 @ 2.6 to a P4 @ 4.0. Even at that speed they are very similar in performance with the processers swapping wins in everything except gaming. In responce to your original question, A P4E @3.4 is likely to run at about the same speed as the [email protected]. At stock...
Make sure the front side bus is set to 166/333 or it will show up as an athlon 1000. This can be done either via a Jumper or through the bios (or a combination of both). Look in the motherboards manual to see how to do this. the other thing to do is update the bios to the latest version
