Here's the problem. My motherboard, an old Asus A8N5X, has AC'97 sound but does not output a good digital signal with either the coaxial or the optical out. It is not surround sound and is not Dolby encoding. Is there a way to fix this? My old Abit from the Socket A days had much better sound.
