Hey all, I need a new computer for productivity/office work. This only means stock charts, graphs, multiple web browsers (over 20 tabs open) on multiple monitors (4 DVI monitors plus 2 4k monitors). In my thinking, really not pushing much CPU power, but my C2Q 9550 8GB RAM. bogs way down with...
What are my options for a 27" 4k curved thin bezel monitor? I can't seem to find any. This is for office work, so display quality is secondary. I am in Canada, can't find any at Bestbuy.ca or Amazon.ca.
I have DVDs on my desktop computer that are almost 1:1 rip from DVD. That means they are about 4GB in size, contains .IFO .VOB etc files. The reason I didn't transcode it is that I needed the full menu to navigate the DVD (they are instructional DVDs).
I have an old Linksys G (54GL) router that...
Hello all, I have an old Q9550 @3.4ghz I need upgrading. My needs are not great. CPU is fast enough for me, but I am hampered with 8GB memory just running multiple windows/browser tabs. I keep getting low memory warnings. My 2TB storage drive just gave me a SMART failure warning as well.

I have a Samsung 2TB HD204UI, I think it is now called the Ecogreen F4. It is dying on me even though I only use it for storage, I am running my OS and programs on a small SSD.
I was offered the following replacements:
-Another Samsung 2TB (have to wait 2 weeks, which is not a problem for me)...
Looking for Patriot Box Office or a Boxee Box, please let me know if you have a working one, if there is any warranty on it, and the price shipped to WA. Thanks.
I need a new HD to fix a friend's computer, the old one is dead. I only have Bestbuy.ca and futureshop.ca (Canada), I have to fix it in a day, so I can't do mail order. I can't seem to find for example, Samsung F3 1TB. So what's my best alternative. I can go as small as 300GB.
Thank you.

Hey guys, could someone help me or point out a website/guide on how I can piggyback my Linksys WRT54GL (running Tomato 1.27) on to my Dreytek (model 2500we) ADSL modem/router? The Dreytek itself is one unit and it does have WAN and LAN, but the WAN is wonky, would always drop all wireless...
I would like to know, I bought 2x2GB PC6400 DDR2 G skill (CL5D) ram. I would like to add another 2x2GB, can I add G Skill PC8000 DDR2 (CL5D) Ram on the same motherboard? My boad is Abit IX38.
I plan to run both sticks at stock (not OC ing the board), but the 6400 is rated at 1.8v and the 8000...
I am using a USB wifi Linksys brand and it's been working fine under XP 32bit. Now i'm migrating to Vista 64 and the USB is not Vista 64 bit supported. I only need a regular G wifi.
Could any of you recommend one that is 64bit supported. I've searched and some say Vista (but not sure if it's...
I have two fans in a monitor that I want to replace. I'm replacing it to get a slower spinning quieter fan, so replacing with a bigger fan is not an issue. The problem is, I don't know what the volt and amps mean, so I'm not sure what replacements I can try to find.
Old fan spec:

Computer will be used for office work, watching movies on the 30", and Photoshop, no gaming. I don't upgrade often, my last built was from circa 2000 that I used for 5 years. I also need the setup to be as silen as possible.

Hey gang,
I am building a new system. I need two PCIe x16 video cards that can do dual DVI, and one of the DVI output has to have dual link functionality. I don't game, mostly everyday computer and photoshop and occasionally video playback on the 30". My monitors are high resolutions though...
Are there any smaller aside from Shuttle? I read some complaining about the heat generated in the small box; but I am looking for the smallest, and also just to put 2 mid/low end graphic card, 1 HD, 1DVD drive. Thanks for the info.
That's the app that lets you have 2 color profiles from 1 video card with 2 outputs. I use it in my laptop and an external monitor hooked up. Does Vista have the capability built it? I doubt I can install the same app in Vista since it's built for XP.
Are LED monitors more expensive then the regular CCFL variety? Last I checked year(s) ago, a 21 inch LED vs regular CCFL, the price difference was at least twice or three times as much.
