Hi,
I need a secure case for work such that I can put a padlock in it to prevent anyone from taking the disk drives inside. Does anyone know of a (cheap) case like this? I know tryten sells things for this purpose... I was wondering if Antec or Lian-Li sold cases that locked securely.
Thanks
It's one of those situations where I can change my architecture to match the protocol. I havent implemented one of these before so I don't really know all of the details (and the details are where it's painful).
I was hoping that there was an academic one available. If there is... it seems to...
Does anyone know of an open source cache coherence protocol implementation? Preferably written in Verilog? I heard that writing one of these is incredibly hard so I was hoping someone already made one.
I looked on google and opencores but didnt see anything...
Hi All,
I potentially have forty (40) Socket F AMD 8350 Processors for sale/trade. These are the kind that can be used in 4-way and 8-way configurations, and are 2.0ghz quad cores. They are also unboxed/oem.
My research group accidentally bought 2000 series machines which dont work with...
I paid 80 dollars over retail only 3 days ago, and that was lucky - 80 dollars off is a hot deal to me.
Also, I bought some controllers when I saw this, so it was really useful. There's not a controller in any store within a few hundred miles of where I live.
Ouch... One wii controller for 60 dollars?
I just bought two. *sigh*
Edit: I tried to buy two.. now sears isnt responding. *double sigh*
Edit 2: I got 3 instead. ;)
Hey,
I just got my Wii from ebay. It said "New In Box - Never Opened", but there doesnt seem to be any seal on the packaging. There's no plastic shrink wrap or anything.
Anyone who's gotten one directly from the store - did yours have any seal on it?
I'm just nervous they swapped in a...
Specifically, an NMOS transistor of an inverter has had Vt degradation, and will no longer switch properly. You might be able to fix it, I wouldn't recommend RMA.
So this is what I want to do...
Take current computer.
Install raid controller board & driver.
Configure raid with 3 drives, blank space.
Remove previous drives from computer.
Boot using Windows Boot CD.
Install Windows using part of the space.
Boot using Linux Boot CD
Install Linux...
I guess my point is that there should be a solution that doesn't involve the OS (no driver required).
A non-raid computer looks like this:
OS <-> Main Board <-> SATA <-> Disk Drive
An intelligent raid solution would look like this:
OS <-> Main Board <-> SATA <-> RAID Board <-> SATA <-> Several...
Blah.. the whole point of this was to make sure I didnt lose important files due to drive failure.
Is there not a card that takes several sata inputs, and gives a sata output? The OS/motherboard should never see the RAID. This seems really silly - it makes RAID almost completely pointless for...
I'd like to get about a terabyte of redundant storage, so I'm planning to buy 3x 500gb WD RE2 drives and put them in a Raid 5 on my NF4 board.
I'm booting both Windows and Linux.
The things I dont understand are...
1. The NF4 board supports Raid5. Is this accelerated? I have a dual core...
Yes.. when a pixel changes it updates it. That means if you're using a 60Hz connection, it will only update at most 60 times per second, and if you send on a 75Hz connection, it can update up to 75 times per second.
There's no reason why they wouldnt support 75 Hz internally. If people say...
The display says it uses DVI-D, maybe it can do 75 Hz if you have the right cable.
The response time at worst is something around 12ms (i think), so it should be able to do 75Hz. But that would mean that it stays at the correct color for only a few ms before changing (if it is changing)...
They shipped to my paypal address and it wasnt verified.
Just make sure to put in the right shipping info when you send your paypal. Meaning.. make sure your paypal shipping address matches the one you gave them.
One guy said he thought the dell did a better job with VGA, but then he also said that it was probably an impedance matching issue. If that's the case, it depends on your laptop more than the display. Both are supposed to be fantastic for VGA. You might want to try someone that has them and hook...
i was hoping to have it last friday, but i dont think i'll even have it for this friday. *sigh*
also, supposedly although they have tracking.. it's not accurate like it is for fedex or ups. Most people get their packages before the tracking updates that it's even in the country. In another...
