Nope, no BIOS action at all.
I am about to bail on this Corsair bullshit and grab some of this:

That memory is on the Asus approved list.

Need a suggestion for 8GB (2x4) for this board.
I picked up some Corsair Vengence (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) and this damn thing will not POST. I get the red LED on the memory test. Tried all the memory slots and different configs of memory. 1 slot, 2 slots, single stick, two sticks etc.
New build...
I have read a few discussions on this and I still dont think I have a clear answer.
In my situation, what real world benefits would I see going from a Q9550 clocked at 3.6 to a 2500k?
I am wondering if the Q9550 is bottlenecking my GTX460 1GB @ 900/2000, 1920x1200. with as much eye candy...
Dim objReader As IO.StreamReader
Dim count As Integer
'Dim intFirstYearPopulation As Integer
If IO.File.Exists("c:\cities\cities.txt") = True Then
objReader = IO.File.OpenText("c:\cities\cities.txt")
Do While objReader.Peek <> -1...
I have two arrays name() and age(). I am using a DO WHILE loop to populate the two arrays. After the arrays are populated I am using a combo box to select name() and need to pass the () on to the age variable but I am not sure how to do that.
When I select an item in the combo box I know...
So I get a text from my nephew tonight stating his PC "won't boot and there is nothing on the screen" First thought was VC, but I put the VC from his machine in mine and it booted just fine.
CPU fan is spinning. I unplugged the HDD and CD ROM drive no change.
The only things attached...
The return policy IS 30 days.
I returned a GTX470 last week that was 31 days out and I was refunded my money. The only question I was asked was "Why was I returning it"? My reply was "I found it cheaper elsewhere". No hassles, no issues for me.

No, because he has not provided any evidence to support his claim that ANY 460 can OC to the FTW specs and then some.
He if was insulted sorry, but there are so many people who claim this or that and don't provide proof of the claims.
I have been working over an EVGA 470 and 460 FTW the last...
I too went with the EVGA GTX460 FTW @ $219. It overclocks to 900/2100 solid and is very close to the GTX470 in performance without the heat and noise.
I went with Nvidia over ATI simply because of the driver debacle recently and in the past.

Wow, that was lame.
Back to the OP's topic. I have an EVGA 470 and yes, the fan spins up and is quite noisy. I have contemplated returning it for a 6870 but I am not all that comfortable with AMD drivers. Just this month they have had 3 hotfixes for the drivers.
I do like the...
I didn't go cheap. I have had the PS for 3 years and it was an excellent PS back in the day. Perhaps not state of the art in todays world but it has served me well.

This was a very enlightening thread and it makes me want to pull my Q9550 out of it's 775 socket and give it a BIG hug as I was contemplating the jump to an i5 platform.

Building a new rig and I am going with the MSI P55-GD80 and an i5 760 but am not sure what speed of memory to buy. I like the reviews on the Ripjaws memory from G.Skill and have used their memory in the past with great success.
I was leaning toward this...
You just enter a number under the Core Voltage (mV) setting, hit Enter and then click Apply. Nothing else to fuss with. Make sure your Fan Speed is set to Auto.
For voltage I entered 1087 hit enter and then clicked apply.

Gonna hijack this thread a bit.
I have the HX520 and a Q9550 as well but my question is will the performance of the GTX 470 be degraded due to the power supply?
The 9550 is overclocked to 3.4 and the GTX 470 is overclocked to 800 core.
