Unless the killer nic does what it's supposed to I think the non-black edition
of the rampage iii extreme is a better buy.
I was hoping to get one of these motherboards but not now after reading about
the disappointing performance of the killer nic.
Oh well great review as always and...
Just got the ASUS ROG gtx580 Matrix.
Incredible card. Can't get it above 50c no matter how much I overclock it.
And I can burn the profile so I don't have to load oc every time.
Plus it has a reset switch in case I burn an oc that it can't handle.
Actually I finally got 1080p over hdmi but only at 24hz. I guess that's just how the technology works.
A friend of mine has an extra emitter and glasses so I will borrow the emitter to have 120hz refresh at 1080p.
OK I just got this monitor. I am using hdmi (cause apparently the built in emitter only
works with hdmi).
Although the demos look great whenever I start a 3d game like burnout paradise
or UT3 I get an error message that my resolution is not compatible with hdmi 1.4 3d.
No matter what...
I have one of those laptops and I just put an x9100 3.2 ghz dual core processor in it.
It made a big difference in some of the games. Also I oc'd the graphics card to 620mhz
which helped a lot too.
But yeah these particular laptops ahve different variants of mobos in them and
some won't...
A friend of mine has a r.a.t. 7 with a problematic sensor. We tried a bunch of different mouse pads and the only one that worked with no problems was an xtrac pad with the hex design. I think it was an xtrac hammer.
I have one of these cards. I'm no longer using it.
Every once and a while the sound would get totally distorted with the only way to
fix would be a reboot. Also sometimes the process of putting the sound over hdmi
when watching TV would cause the video signal to flash on and off.
You can...
I am doing this now with a GTS 540. Bitstreaming works fine in all applications. The only exception I have found is that Powerdvd 9 doesn't bitstream blu-ray but Powerdvd 10 does.
I would recommend that you turn off any onboard audio. Also be sure that you use drivers 260.99 or later. And use...
Do the Fermi cards really use Realtek? I read that the older nvidia cards did but they were only 2.1 for hdmi.
I thought nvidia was using stream processors and software for the hdmai audio. I would like to know more about this technology. There is very little information even from nvidia.
I don't use my logitech g35 any more because it was very uncomfortable. Most of friends quit using the logitechs for the same reason.
The sound was ok though.
Like I said before I had that card for a year. I really wanted it to work. But I had problems with video flashing on and off and every once in a while the sound would get garbled and I had to reboot system. Plus I never got the $40 rebate that was offered. This card worked fine for gaming. So if...
You may want to try the ASUS or HT Omega sound cards. I think thye have 7.1 over optical. HT Omega is a much better card. But they don't have a pci-e card yet.
Also I am using my nvidia gts 450 which puts surround sound (up to 7.1) directly on the hdmi cable. This is working much better than...
For my home theatre and servers size is an issue in that Iliek to find the smallest one possible. Also for home theatre I like the psu as quiet as possible. For gaming the bigger the better. And for all psu's I always want modular
Gotta disagree with some of the points you made about the ps2 keyboard port.
OK sure the bios should support usb keyboards out of the box and the motherboard should never need a ps2 keyboard to do anything.
But ps2 keyboards do have some advantages. They get their own interupt so they...
The xarmor U9BL mechanical keyboard has nkey rollover and media keys.

For macro keys you can always get an xkeys macro pad. It uses cherry switches too.

Planar Makes a triple monitor stand for 3 24" monotors. It costs $250.

Yes it sounds too good to be true. But it is true. I have had as subscription for the last 2 years (I renewed so I could get Windows 7). And they added windows home server last year as well. Don't know if they will have the new home server called Vail.
I have a PC-a77f with the usb 3.0 ports on top. There were no usb 2.0 ports and the usb 3 ports just had 4 big ugly cables that were meant to be routed to the back of the mobo (no headers or anything like that).
I swapped out the i/o panel to one with usb 2 connections. I would have preferred...
Actually you would want the DECK LEGEND ICE for that. The the keys are cut so the light comes through the keys instead of solid keys where the light goes around them.
I use an Xkeys Desktop keypad with 20 macro keys which can be programed to be media keys and just about anything else. I like programming these much more than I did the Logitech keyboard. Uses Cherry swithches too.
Also they have a programable foot switch (2 pedals) that I use as shift and...
