The resent market share numbers says that ray tracing does matter.
Intel and Nvida increased market share (dedicated raytracing units) while AMD lost marketshare.
I propose you are mistaken and part of a small but vocal minority as the sales indicate otherwise.
The "rasterized" world is dying...
Not only the size...it is 2,2 KG.
I havn't OC'ed yet (on vacation in Vietnam with the wife) but I get like 63C on cyberPunk 2077 with Ultra settings/Psycho raytracing at stock (No Asus/3rd party GPU software installed).
That is 3C from fan spin stop :D
I had better quote my own post too:
The data indicates that I was right, since:
- Opacity Micromap Engine = 2 x Faster Alpha Traversal;
- Displaced Micro-Mesh Engine = 10 x Faster BVH build and 20X Less BVH Space than Ampere
- Ray-triangle intersection = 2 x faster than Ampere
- Shader...
The game is short and plauged by technical issues, I guess people voting with their wallets is a real thing.
The game lauching with stutter-shader compilation is inexcusable in 2023, I hope the developer learned it's lessons.
Some hard data, latency is lower in exclusive fullscreen mode with diminishing return as FPS go up:

Intersting how a simple "You have data for your claims?" turned into conspiracy galore.
The question is if the is a coordinated galore (a "buddy" distraction to remove focus from the...
You seem angry for one with out any data.
Getting called out is not pleasant when one does not have any data to support ones claims.
But your should not point the finger at me, when you are to blame.
But I can write you off as "noise" now, thank you.
(I suggest you start with the...
When I look, I get the opposite info:

"
When to choose fullscreen mode
When an application is open in fullscreen mode, Windows grants it full control of the screen’s output. Assuming a game is...
Citation needed for you claim.
There is plenty in the core that have better IPC, so I suspect you are either talking against facts or just making up stuff or simply ignoring a lot of the new stuff in the core.
Feel free to prove me wrong.
FarCry 2 made me never touch the series again, I read that FarCry 6 was called "Communist woke simulator".
I did enjoy the original farCry, but that was not a UbiSoft game per say.
The first Assasins Creed had novel ideas, the follow up made me never tocuh that series again.
The first Watch...
So you have nothing and the free market is working fine.
And how can it be a duopoly when there is Intel, AMD and Nvidia?
Just because you "feel" something doesn't mean it is founded in reality.
This is your subjective bias with no data to back it up and even your "argumentation" is false.
Look at the avarage human.
Then contemplete that half the world is more stupid.
There is a limit to how smart someone can be, but I have yet to see the lower limit...
It is called "Blankmedie-afgift" and is to cover artists and producers for the piracy going on in the mobile/tablet/PC world.
As always, there is no "free lunch"...someone always ends up paying.
I am well aware of the prices on the server side, I am an IT architect, I design large VMware clusters for a living (VXRail and Cisco Hyperflex solutions)
But I agree with you proposition.
Most people are contend with the hardware/performance they are getting (except for a small and to vocal...
I pay to highest tax in Denmark and still I can go out an buy a 4090 without breaking my economy.
Says something when the guy paying 56% in taxes and 25% VAT and an additional IT VAT is fine, but you on a lot lower tax payment have issues.
You have never had so good 1080p gaming value as right...
You do indeed need the whole picture.
No one in Denmark is burdened by students loans or the cost of an education...infact the goverment pays you (a small amount compared to a salary though) so you have more time to focus on your study than work on the side.
You break a leg it is also free...so...
By using only 1(!) metic, one must conclude that CPU prices are to high to then:

Or perhaps the picture is more complex than a single metric can indicate.
That is a normal price in Denmark...with 25% VAT and an additional "IT VAT" here in Denmark.
On the plus side I got money from the goverment to study when I was young, the education was free and so is healthcare here.
You need the whole picture and I do tend to find people from the USA to be...

Turing is second-gen Tensor cores (FP32, FP16, INT8, INT4)
Ada is fourth-gen Tensor Cores (FP64, FP32, FP16, BF16, INT8, FP8, INT4) and dedicated Optical Flow Accelerator hardware (Turing and Ampere runs the Optical Flow Accelerator algorithm on the compute enigne)
Hardly the same hardware...
Since I use HDR and plan to take advantage of DirectStorage I fail to see how this is any benefit for gamers?
That Windows 10 is also going out of servie life is another big "nope" from me.
This will not be the last place AI will "insert" itself more and more.
Healthcare, Banking, Financial Services And Insurance (BFSI), Retail And E-Commerce, Gaming And Entertainment are all areas that will see more and more A.I. injected.
