I have a usb musicstreamer ii that handles my computer sound. it gets sent to a splitter which gets sent to a headphone amp and a cambridge amplifier which goes to some kef bookshelves. im VERY happy with sound. my only question is gaming related. is it possible to somehow use both my music...
thanks guys I'll report back later. I had no idea. I thought auto would be the super simple way to overclock and that motherboard manufacturers would have nailed it down by now. I also thought 4.2 ghz was a really modest overclock for my chip.

I've built computers over the years and I've never bothered to overclock once. Recently though I wanted to squeak out some performance for star citizen. I have a 4770k with a Asus z87 pro. I went into the bios and did an automatic option for overclocking , choosing BLCK.
By default, this...
I'm just wondering why no manufacturer has seemed to want to target the surround market by making a monitor with no bezels on the sides. si it a deesign problem?
can't seem to edit the title as of now. I'm looking for 100 each not incl shipping. I'd sell both for 190. They have 3 GB of ram and are factory overclocked
Does anyone have this board? I noticed it is "extended atx" ... is the space between the PCI express slots for the graphics cards more than normal? can anyone measure it ?
so... I just got this sabertooth x58 mobo. after hooking everything together I noticed two things.... 64 bit wwindows 7 was only detecting 4 gigs of ram (and I have triple channel 3 X 2) and.... each time it rebooted it rebooted not once but 2 or 3 times every time.
after some trial and error I...
haven't had a chance to hook everything up yet since I am doing some repairs to my computer and renovating my room... but I think I am just going to go ahead and get that sub. If I order the sub what other parts do I need? Sorry for the newb questions.....
one other thing... on the back of my...
from what I read... socket 1366 has 36 lanes and 2011 will have 40.... and even with the 36 lanes 1155 is still better for Tri SLI gaming according to the benchmarks I have seen.. and even when it isn't it is by a few FPS. A couple of FPS are not worth the price premium of those "enthusiast"...
hello
I had a i7 920 on a p6t mobo with 3 GTX 580's in SLI. When I tested a game out (WoW and battlefield 3 and LFD2) everything seemed good. No stuttering at all.
My question is... if I take the plunge to get a sandy bridge socket 2700k processor and motherboard.. maybe the asus...
I actually have 3 X GTX 580 lightning extremes.... 3 samsung 950D monitors (1080P resolution) for a total of 5670x1080 resolution in nvidia surround
if 2011 has 40 lanes how many does 1366 have?
yes... I have 3 GTX 580's that were working..... I tried each of them . I am thinking it is the motherboard but it was working fine before the upgrade. I made sure to keep static discharged from me.
so I read that the new socket type is pretty much pointless(for gaming) unless you need 6 cores instead of 4... or you want quad SLI. Is that true?
right now i heard that in higher resoultions such as 5760 x 1080... socket 1366 is better than 1155 with triple SLI
realistically how much power will these processors use? I heard something about a max 180tdp compared to 130 TDP (whatever that means ) that is currently used.
In other words will a 1200 watt power supply have problems powering them along with SLI
and when will these be available to purchase...
I had a working computer.... antec 850 power supply
p6t motherboard
i7 920
I just upgraded to an i7 970... and the computer turns on.. everything sounds normal but nothing gets sent to the monitor. I have 3 different video cards and I tried putting them in(one at a time) but the same thing. I...
Okay this is just an update......
The "game extremely slow" is a separate issue from the display port issue. I thought the game was slow but really the FPS was high (I installed fraps) but the mouse and keyboard input were really erratic... slow.. lagged etc. After some googling I found out...
hey I have a question... I got all the parts in and the headphone amplifier... those RCA jacks on the back say outputs... not inputs. so I don't think I can connect the headphone amp to the DAC correct? should I be looking at a different headphone amp and sending this one back?
would this one...
I recently acquired 3 GTX 580's.. I also have the same monitors as you.... samsung 750D's.... I can get all 3 monitors to work when SLI is disabled. I managed to get all 3 working in suround once or twice but it is extremely buggy. most of the time when I try it my monitors just shut off and all...
I have a question... when you do tri SLI with 3 monitors... are hyou supposed to only connect your monitors to just two cards and not all three? Because I am having problems. going to experiment tonight to see
just an update... it could be coincidence but I installed the drivers for my particular monitor and now when I go to "span all displays" it suddenly shuts 2 of them into standby and goes to just one. But....... I went into Battlefield 3 and guess what? It went triple screen. However the lag/fps...
well I am currently reinstalling windows.... I tried to go into the nvidia control panel and do the Surround selection and it basically caused my monitor to go into a dos-like black screen with a blinking space at the top left. after that I couldn't reboot into windows again... it just paused at...
this is just another update... I just ran the heaven benchmark at default settings 1920x1080 resolution with my Nvidia driver set to "maximize GPU" .. and I got a score of 2960 which seems about right with TRI SLI GTX 580 (my gpus are severely bottlenecked by my CPU which is a default...
I just ordered it. Damn I hope it does. I couldn't fine the one that came with my motherboard even though I still have the damn motherboard box. where the hell did it go!
btw.. Anyone know how many days you have to return something for an exchange or refund on new egg? If my setup doesn't...
I'm currently doing the "ghetto version" which is just using 3 ribbons to attach them. I thought it was the same?
BTW I have them all plugged 1 monitor into each card..... into the display port. When I disable SLI everything works great.
here is how I have them hooked up
Maybe what I am trying to do is impossible :(
Each of my monitors only has 1 X HDMI output.. and 1 X Display output.
I bought the third GTX 580 so that I could run 3 of my monitors at 120hz. I actually tried to run all three with 2 display ports and 1 HDMI port plugged into two cards... and it...
Okay I am narrowing down the problem I think. It has something to do with 3 way SLI itself... not the cards or the monitors I think.
When I go into nvidia drivers.... and "disable SLI" so that each GPU runs independently.... I can get all three monitors working great.
edit: sorry about...
by the way... I just noticed... under "configure SLI" in the Nvidia section... it says 2-way SLI enabled. Is that because I have the third monitor unchecked still?
(the third monitor that is off currently... is plugged into one of the cards that has been working fine for a week. So I don't...
I just got my third GTX 580 for a tri sli setup... and I am having problems. I have tried mixing each of the cards in "dual" mode.... two at a time and testing them that way and everything works fine. But as soon as I try to activate all 3 displays through nvidia drivers.... they all blink...
what if I wall mounted them behind the monitors a bit closer than your picture... but at a downward angle. My stands will tilt down a little bit. Or I could just put them on the actual desk...... closer than 72 inches. it is tough
looking at my setup... it looks like 2 stands about 40ish inches on either side of my desk so they are just outside the outer monitors.. facing towards me at 45 might work. but they would be 75 inches apart. Do you think that is too far apart ?
another thing... you said isolation pads for...
These are my wall mounts http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004DCAOHK?ie=UTF8&redirect=true
this is my desk . It's not set up yet or I would post pics. On the top of that desk are 3 27 inch monitors at eye level. So if I mounted speakers behind the monitors but above them... the monitors...
