On May 27th I got the email from the Zaber team informing that my white Sentry was shipped on April 28 along with the tracking number from the Polish post office. I haven't received any additional information regarding my shipment since then. Am I still within the expected timeframe of my...
Are the Corsair SFX PSU cables that much stiffer than Silverstone's SFX PSU cables? I would have thought that they are nearly identical in flexibility.
If you're going horizontal the founder's edition of other card will be the best choice. If you want to go a little cheaper then go with any aftermarket blower. Blower fans aren't restricted in taking in air from outside the panel like a dual/triple fan setup would be in the horizontal position.
Probably too wide (measuring from the PCIe connector to the other side). Compare a picture of the Zotac 1070 Mini to a 1070 founder's edition. The founder's edition is no wider than the back bracket of the card while the Zotac 1070 extends past it.
In case no one saw it the person who wrote a review on Amazon for the Thermaltake Engine 27 added an update on his experience using the cooler with a 65W CPU. It performs the same as the box Intel cooler.
I was wondering how acoustics would be affected. If one were to install a C7 the fan would basically be up against the panel. So I wonder what would make more noise: a 92mm fan at a higher RPM or a 140mm fan at a lower RPM.
It's probably way too late at this stage of design, but have you guys thought about adding 120/140mm mounting holes above the motherboard? Using a slim 15mm fan instead of the fan that the CPU cooler comes with could make for a better cooling solution since it would cover both the heatsink and...
What are the measurements from the case feet screw holes to the edges of the case? I'm thinking of getting something like these case feet to use (35mm diameter/M3 screws).
I want the USB front panel cables to be black. Can I replace the one that comes with the case with this one (dimensions are below with the additional photos)?
If not, I might try using plastidip on the that comes with the case.
Last time I asked about being able to change the power switch I think you said that you were previously planning to just glue the switch to the case but were considering ways to make the switch replaceable (or something along those lines; I asked about this a while ago). So is the power switch...
Any chance of changing the power button? Given the comparisons between the case's aesthetics and the Turret from Portal, maybe this power button would be more fitting in matching the Turret's laser eye thingy.
They probably didn't consider the choice of a SFX PSU due to Corsair not selling one themselves at the time. They have 140mm non-modular PSUs, but I imagine upper management not liking the idea of a case that doesn't fit a PSU from their entire line of power supplies unless it cut down the size...
Maybe I missed it in an earlier post, but can you guys post a picture of the case opened with all PC components inside it? I would like to see how everything fits inside.
I meant other than those two slots. Fractal Design's video about the Node 202 talked about how there are 2x120mm mounts underneath the GPU, but their thermal tests showed that having two fans installed didn't do any significant amount of cooling. It would be nice if that area could be used for...
The changes sound good. Is the current HDD/SSD bracket still using the short 3.5mm long screws? What exactly is the issue when using short 3.5mm long screws? Noise from HDD vibrations?
Thanks for looking into it SaperPL. Hopefully you find a good solution to fitting more drives in that area of the case. Personally, having those four 2.5" drives stacked on top of each other like that would be more than enough for my needs.
As for your GPU recommendations, the Galax 970 Mini...
Yea, it would be great if two 2.5" or one 3.5" HDD could fit in the secondary backup mount in the perpendicular position with a short GPU, like the GTX 970 ITX. Also didn't know that a riser would be included with the case, so that's good to hear.
When I said side-by-side, I meant having drives in both the primary and secondary backup positions. As you said though, the 2.5" drives will block the air intake of either a short and full length GPU if both SSDs are installed in those positions. How about two 2.5" drives stacked on top of...
Couple of questions about fitting components in the case:
1) The drive mounts description says that a primary backup 2.5" drive will fit underneath any sized GPU (towards the back of the case), but the secondary backup 2.5" drive will only fit if a short GPU card is used (towards the front of...
Would it be possible to make the vent holes on the panels larger? I find that there is noticeable amount of "whistling noise" being made when fans up against the vent are pushing a lot of air through. Maybe larger vent holes would prevent this? Also, having larger vent holes would make using...
If W360 is actually considering doing review units for the next batch of cases, I'd recommend trying to get Tek Syndicate and Hardware Canucks to do the reviews. Both have a good following on Youtube. Tek Syndicate love to do small builds and would probably appreciate the idea of having a case...
I wonder if you can install a single 120mm fan underneath the cooler as opposed to the top; that way you can install the side bracket and HDD bracket. If so, then that would probably be a better alternative than using a NH-C12P, so long as the single 120mm fan can keep the heatsink cool.
If you live in the US, I think it will take around 1-2 weeks if W360 sends them out immediately after their sold. That's how long it took for people to get them in the US once the shipping containers brought them overseas.
Yeah, that's the one. I mistakenly thought that the study was up to 60C. Hmm... I wonder if I should find a way to rig the HDD in another position (my NH-C14 doesn't allow me to use the HDD cage).
To those who have a 3.5" HDD on the bottom of the case: What temps are you getting on your hard drive? When my GPU gets hot the HDD almost hits 55C. I think Necere posted a link about Google's study on hard drive reliability in regards to temps, but I just want to make sure 55C isn't too bad...
I don't think I've seen other people do this with their Wi-Fi antennae, but for those rocking the Asus Z87 ITX or the ROG Impact, the front of the case makes for a great place to strap your antennae to.
