i have a smaller case than the 540 (define R4) and i have an h100i on top for the cpu, and two kraken x41's for my two gpus in the front. Fits very neatly. You can look up the dimensions of the x41 to see how i fit two in the front...basically, if you can fit two 140 fans in front, you will have...
What you are saying is true. Dx performance in bf4 was great at first. About a month or two before mantle was released, the Dx performance went into the gutter. You can actually search BF4 forums if you really wanted to, and literally find thousands of posts of people complaining.
don't get me started on crossfire profiles.
One of the main reasons i bought AMD was because of mantle and true audio, as well as this new crossfire implementation...we see where that ended up. When it works, it works very well. But more so than not, it does not work, rather than work.
Single...
forget about the 390x...the continuous lies and lack of adequate support in the past year should say the same thing to all of us here.
It is a shame, because we need the competition, and AMD does make good gpus, they are just very poorly implemented.
Yes, i already knew that. But what heatsinks would be optimal for the vrm and vrams?
I already own two g10 brackets for my watercooled 290s, with heatsinks on vrm and vram and it is utterly amazing. I just wouldn't want to toast the vrm on the titan, and would like to find out what heatsinks...
980's in sli can run out of vram in GTA V on 1440p, with sufficient frames. You can take down some settings a few notches and get even higher fps, but the vram usage is still going to make a 3gb card like the 780ti absolutly worthless. Don't forget, performance wise, the 780ti and 980 isn't too...
The range of that monitor's freesync capabilities are abysmal, like all others. Don't be fooled and believe that you don't need adaptive sync at high frame rates. I have personally witness the difference between gsync on and off on 144fps on a 144hz monitor. The workings of gsync is evident even...
I agree. The extra vram of titans is worth it for 1440p and higher.
Look at what happened with the 780ti...the card is worthless, even on 1080p, modern games exceed or come very close to reaching this limit, due to 3gb vram. Gta V on my 1080p setup uses 3.9 gigs vram. Forget about maxing it on...
From TFT central:
Having spoken to BenQ about it the issue is a known bug which apparently currently affects all FreeSync monitors. The AMD FreeSync command disturbs the response time (AMA) function, causing it to switch off. It's something which will...
if the 970 only has 3.5 gigs of vram, how is it possible to play at max settings on 1440p?
I use 290s in crossfire, and it uses 3.6 gigs vram at 1080p with all maxed, except msaa at 4x.

horrible. freesync is a joke. it is an even bigger joke to take a chance and depend on AMD for proper working drivers for each monitor's optimal freesync performance.
You keep proving your self wrong; you said "the game is more fluid despite the visual discontinuity." How can you not see the facts? Your statement is a paradox.
You have proved, for me, everything i have been vying for.
The article is absolutely relevant to our discussion, and you have inadvertently done so by explaining how we perceive motion. To say that it has nothing to do with out discussion is outrages, and the basis of the discussion rested...
Do you seriously see that "feeling of smoothness" and the perception of it are two separate things? Now i know you really are speaking without any sort of knowledge. You are claiming that we can "feel smoothness" without any sensory input?
I am the only one here that provided scientific...
You have not shown how fluidity is perceived. You just made a lame graph, requiring no mathematics, and then drew a conclusion from the self-created evidence.
Placebo.
Real mathematics? What you have described is total nonsense, and has no basis in mathematical theory. You still fail to see the scenario between actualization and perception. How could you fail to recognize the same nature of "feeling" and "perception?"
It is unbeliavble that you...
Your discussion completely fails at one element, which invalidates your point. You leave your discussion at the hardware level, but fail to contemplate the role of human perception, which is a gross miscalculation.
Read this research article; hopefully, you will finally understand...
You still miss the critical point of output vs. time. plotted for each geometric point expressed in pixels. There would be many deviations in the graph, denoting a lack of fluidity. What you are attempting to argue is not relevant, and the most recent set of points on the plot serves no...
You are all so very wrong.
You are all claiming the exact opposite of what things are supposed to be. There is no physical fluidity if frames are not, in completion, being outputted to the monitor.
How can there be input accuracy, when a large portion of the input will be missing. I am surprised you people here do not really know any better.
Also, you write as if gsync and freesync were not created to create the feeling of smoothness. Every single review out there will tell how smoother...
because it is not the best. It is physically impossible, from a physics standpoint, for the best ips to be faster than the best tn. no gamer cares about color reproduction as long as it is not horrific.
TN is for gaming. I would never buy an IPS panel for gaming. Why are you people so concerned with perfect color reproduction? Get a real IPS if that is what you want. Overdrive is a gimmick.
AMD is done. The only thing that can save AMD is a massive breakthrough, which will not happen. Operating at a loss greatly reduces the amount of money that goes into research. No research equates to no ground breaking, money making products.
AMD needs a serious monetary influx, and probably a...
I disagree. Perceived Smoothness should be dependent on actual fluidity of information, thus, deviating from the norm refresh rate will lead to a decrease in fluidity and perceived smoothness.
You people should be philosophers.
It is just that you seem to have forgotten that sync technologies aim to match rendered frames with the monitor's refresh rate. Yet what some of you claim is that, not matching frames by a monitor's output somehow makes the game feel smoother than if one...
Are you seriously equating feelings with facts?
if you consistently get over 60fps minimum, it will never feel smoother (be it 61fps or 600fps), because you are limited with 60hz. in fact, it will even be worse, since one will be pushing far more frame rate than the monitor can exhibit, when...

Nice way to derail the thread, by the way, after making an illogical previous post.
why did you edit your post?
Explain how it "feels" better when the frames are not being displayed, and even worse, with vsync off? Do you base all of your logic on "feelings" and devoid your decisions of facts?
