i owned the benq for a week or two. for $450 it is a good buy, get it from their online store while you can. it is more suitable for gaming than the dell because of the dell's input lag.

i guess you want a *VA. refurb dell 2408 and benq FP241VW would be obvious contenders. there might be some others but for the most part you'll have to spend more than that to get away from TN for the 24-27" screens.

depending on how much you have to spend you could get a dell 2408WFP refurbished +15% outlet coupon. that would come to $382.50 before shipping (free ship atm i believe) and tax (6% i think). for about $50 more you would get a very improved screen in all regards except input lag.

heh yea. i've searched high and low for a straight answer on this as well. from what i can tell it has made no difference in the input lag, and a post from the dell monitor guy on the dell forum said that it is unlikely to be remedied.

the benq 22 is .248, the 3007 is .2505, so i would say the difference is negligible? let your sanity be your guide ;) this is actually a harder decision than i thought it would be, for me, because now that i am faced with the realistic possibility of having a 30", i am seriously...

if you're going for the 3007, get it refurb. i am seriously thinking about doing it this week: refurb + 15% dell outlet coupon. that's a little over half the retail of the cheap set of 30s; and if you don't require the connectivity or color accuracy of the pricey ones, that's too good to pass up.

i would get the dell 3007WFP-HC; it is on sale on Dell Refurbished for $900 right now. the Hazro is also good if you want even lower input lag but it is quite a bit more costly.

how's the color on this? it's a TN so i'd imagine pretty...basic? the ergotron version is quite a good deal for a 24" with that kind of adjustability, once you factor in the 10% coupon.
