Wow. Awesome to see the schematics/build in progress.
Yep! I have more screenies. I had planned to make a post called "Escape from Hashcatraz", but then that patch came about (1.2? 1.3? 1.4? lol) and we ended up rebooting the map and all that, so I never got around to posting them.

Absolutely enormous. If a 1K x 1K (and maybe even more) map were centered on that biome the whole map would probably be snow.
I also FINALLY managed to come across a (tiny) mushroom biome. Sadly, no mooshrooms spawned.
Along the way, however, I encountered some weather:

And I found an ENORMOUS snow biome on the atlantis seed (looks like tundra with smatterings of grass so trees can grow). It was so big that at some point I thought I was crossing an open ocean, but it was entirely enclosed by the snow biome.

Yeah, 127MB for a relatively new world is ridiculous. The first iteration of hashland only managed to reach that size after several weeks, with borders of 8000. hash had the border set to 4000 blocks from spawn in the second instance of hashland. He temporarily set them to 2000 to test the...
While I'd love to see the original Hardcraft again for memory's sake, we have quite a few people who weren't around for it, and a good portion of those who built on it aren't active anymore or seemingly disappeared. I get the feeling that it might be best to start a new world.
RIP hash... you brightened up everything with your effervescence and dedication.
For the memorial, I was imagining a giant statue of hash's avatar surrounded by a huge field of flowers. I'm sure we can find some way to combine all our ideas.
I think the server provider was Allgamer. If it...
The only lag I'm getting is from chunks loading. Other than that, single player has been smoother than ever for me after this update.
With the help of the single player commands mod...

The new blocks, left to right: Note Block...
From Notch's giant post on his blog on Jan 10:
It sounds like he might start allowing a choice on whether or not to update. At the very least, modders will have time before the update hits clients.
Well, we don't have infinite blocks like we do in creative.
But I am envisioning a neon green/fuchsia tower lined with gold and diamond blocks in an alternating pattern! :p
It'll be perfect for interiors and sculptures, at least.
Scenes from last night:
Hard at work, filling the sewers with water...
Everyone's in on the job!
Trying to catch a fish in the sewers...
Success!
Hash encases our legs in cement, and drops us into the water...
And we drown as he looks upon us smugly.
What a dick.

Looks minecraft.net exploded. Crashed and now I can't connect; website is also down.
EDIT: It's back up
EDIT2: Back down. The minecraft.net server being wonky coupled with the frequent crashes is making it nearly impossible to play.
I've put 36 hours into Tropico 3 since I got it during the Thanksgiving Steam sale. Hilarious game and definitely worth it at that price. They also have the Gold edition for $12.48, which'll save some money on the expansion (unless you use the 4 for 3 deal to get it free).
I'm thinking about...
Anybody who spawns up in the arch is gonna get completely mobbed, it's like one big orgy of ghouls up there, blowing goddamn viewing holes in the floor.
A creeper ninajed me @ the spawn area with the random chests and took everything out. Managed to pick the stuff up since I was completely...
Rerolled 3 SAM turrets into 3 Chopper Gunners in the span of two consecutive games on the same server, a Nuketown server no less... surprised no one called me a hacker.
After having started it about 20 days ago, the superarch is (almost, sort of) complete. The exterior is now complete, save for a roof (that'll be another 4000 blocks...)
Big thanks to my patrons for their gracious donations of cobblestone :D
