Love those monitors. Still highly tempted by that one and the LG. While I love the clean lines and simplicity of a single monitor, I'm not sure I could give up my dual 27's. I'll have to try and check one out in person to see if it would work for me or not.

In a similar boat. I've been debating getting the proper security torque driver for my Lacie Rugged Mini external drive, ripping out the spinning HDD, and popping in my spare 256GB 840 EVO. Only thing that has stopped me is my resistance to waste money buying the necessary torque driver...

Whatever you decide, I'd at least recommend upgrading the SSD. 128GB isn't much these days and you'll quickly find yourself relying on NAS / DAS for additional space. Just my $.02

bman - thanks for the input. I may be going AC as well as I'm currently using an UAP-Pro in my condo. Thinking a UAP-AC mounted on the ceiling on the 2nd floor of the new house may be a good start. I can add APs as necessary from there.

One AP on top most floor? Currently building and trying to determine how many APs I'm going to need in the home (I know there's no simple answer). Not sure if I'd get best coverage from mounting on 2nd floor or main floor.

I was straddling the same fence recently and after all the reports I was reading I went with a Pro as well. Can always add an AC down the road when they're getting better feedback.

If it won't boot, I'm thinking you're going to need physical access to the machine. At least then you could pull the hard drive and try imaging it. That's what I've had to do for customers and friends in the past who's machines wouldn't boot. It not booting is going to keep you from doing...

Jackpot! I had to reboot after un-mapping the network locations and removing the flash drives to get things to stick. But once I did that things seem to be working as they should be. Thanks again, Snowknight!

Just circling back out of boredom...resolved this issue by just switching my OS to WS2012R2 Standard and installing the WSE role. Virtualized my Plex machine via Hyper-V while I was at it. Figured why the [H]ell not. Time to step my game up.

Solid tip but I had already done this. I can access my WHS just fine. What's weird is that when I try to do the same for my WS2012, it "mounts" the network path and I can see the two shares I created but I can't copy anything into the folders. Is there a WS2012 for Dummies or help blog...
