Can we have updated Discord URLs for the above channels? Just tried all the above invites, and none worked except for Nvidia. Thanks for the helpful info!
Or, if you've got a card that's perfectly capable of handling a lower resolution than 4K, you'll be fine for as long as you want. I'm in that group of gamers that refuses to support scalpers, is angry at Nvidia/AMD, and will not go above MSRP. And to an above poster's credit, this could...
I appreciate the information being shared here, but it's unrealistic to think that folks with jobs + kids have that kind of time to sit at a computer or watch their phone and jump on the possibility that they can outwork a bot.
I think the long-term effects on the markets for these items is...
The PS4 can be used with this monitor in native 16:9 format. You'll have black bars on the side, but the image quality and colors will be very good. I've done it before.
I must admit though that this is a very unusual combo. Agree with the clearing shelves theory.
I had the 400s for about week and then had to return it to Amazon. The left mouse button would stick sometimes and the size of the mouse hurt my hand. My hands are smallish for a guy.
I alternate between a 518 and the Razer Taipan and for whatever reason could never adjust to the shape of...
I have the LG 34UM94-P with a GTX 780 Classified. Gaming is great. Often, you will want to turn down "AA", but at that resolution, it doesn't buy you much. Plus, there are some games that will require you to back off the "Ultra" settings, but again, no big loss IMO.
Everyone,
If you placed an order with Dell in the past few days and applied any kind of coupon codes, check your order status right away. Today I learned that Dell never processed my order despite me having an email receipt. All they had on the order was a ten cent loyalty promo, which of...
I bit. I was able to use the 10% off coupon and stack on some Advantage rewards. Plus I signed up as a Preferred Account holder which added in 10% back in rewards. Not a bad deal, though not as good as the double-10% stacking from last week. Still, with the advanced exchange program plus the...
Has anyone tried connecting a MacBook Pro via the mini displayport? I have a late 2013 MBP, and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but thought I'd ask just in case.
Dell is backpedaling like crazy on these coupons. I had a long chat with a rep who told me that even though this monitor is not on the exclusion list, that it doesn't qualify as an "electronic device." Bullshit.
I recited the exclusion list to him and nowhere are monitors and projectors...
Good news indeed. I read somewhere, perhaps this thread, that Benq would do an overnight swap if your monitor suffered from this problem. But, I haven't heard directly from anyone that actually went through the process, so your response is encouraging.
I bought a boxed copy on the PC for $20 during an Amazon sale, and it's easily one of my favorites for 2014.
I really like it. Planning out assassinations, hitting orc camps and dealing with the orcs rising in power is very innovative. Grudge match-ups in particular put a new spin on this...
Anyone received a unit within the past month or so that has been flash-free? I've been trying to find more information on Benq's acknowledgement of the problem, and the best I've found in my search has been in this thread. Apparently they have acknowledged the issue, but who knows when the...
Ordinarily, I'd agree with you 100%. I find little bothersome things in tech all the time that I live with, and even though I'm picky, I just chalk it up to the reality of things.
But, as others have said, this can't simply be overlooked. There's no value to be had in a product that...
Nikyo,
Keep a watch on bright, light textures, especially in games. Despite what anyone says, flashing and flickering should never be acceptable on a $600+ monitor.
Mine had a manufacturing date of July 2014.
Hopefully yours will continue to be picture perfect.

Oddly, my monitor has developed the flicker issue. Last week I only had the flicker problem with the Pixel test site but today, it started doing it in SWTOR and in Titan Quest.
Sending back for a refund. I love the monitor, but I do not want to deal with the hassle of going through 2 or more...
Update:
K2 Google Earth location = no flicker
Titan Quest = No flicker
Skyrim, snow landscapes = no flicker
ARMA 3 JPG = flicker, but none if I turn AMA off.
That Pixel page = No flicker except within the browser window.
Not sure what to make of this, except that all my other games and...
This morning, I experienced the Displayport "blank screen" issue for the first time. I have a dual monitor setup - Benq BL3200PT and a Benq XL2420TX. The 3200 was on DP and the 120hz 2420 on Dual DVI. (notice I said "was" - I switched the 3200 to DVI this evening).
The blank screen appeared...
July 2014 panel here - no flickering in games. If I move that gdargaud.net window around, however, the contents of the window seem to flicker a bit. However, I tried it on two other monitors - BenQ XL2420TX and a HP 2711x and got the same flickering within the window.
Google Earth is fine...
Just got my 3200PT yesterday.
Initial thoughts:
1. VA is much better than I thought it would be - blacks are really black. The AG coating is not aggressive and is perfect IMO.
2. Out of the box, the brightness was jacked to the moon. I dialed it down to 45 and with the remaining light in my...
I love my 2412m. I have it paired with a BenQ 2420TX that I use for FPS gaming. The 16:10 ratio is great for work and certain games, like MMOs, RPGs, etc.
I've had mine for a few years now, problem free. It seems QC with Dell has slipped, so take what the above posters are saying with...
