8/10 for me
Amazing combat, great graphics and performance, copious amounts of bobs and vagene.
Downsides being:
- Two open world sections which are nearly the same exact biome (dirt vs sand). For such a graphically beautiful game this is a real letdown.
- The same 5 minute pop song repeats...
I beat Messmer. All 18 inches of him. I think that's the most amount of boss retries I ever had to do in a Fromsoft game. Sheesh!
I think the frustrating thing about this DLC is that the boss fights are like 90% dodging and 10% hitting. It's a roll dodging simulator.
Unfortunately my Geforce...
Remember folks, it's important to take a bathroom break every once in a while while exploring the land of shadow.
(minor spoiler, image shows a face mask that you can wear)
I just don't want Fromsoft to keep cranking the difficulty higher and higher just to appease the git gud crowd. I feel like the difficulty was perfect in something like Dark Souls 3. Great mix of challenging, fun, and fair.
The bosses in this DLC (at least the first few that I fought)...
Fuck this boss. I did it. Starscourge greatswords coming in clutch once again.
Notice how many jump attacks she takes before her poise finally breaks. Horribly tuned boss.
You wouldn't believe how much my hands were shaking at the end of this.

I know I'm going to regret saying this, but I feel a little overleveled at 220, at least when it comes to common field enemies. The starscourge greatsword jump attack just obliterates everything. My strategy has been to gallop full speed towards an enemy on torrent, then click the thumbstick to...
There's so many people playing this it's crazy. Put down a co-op summon sign and before you can even blink you are being summoned to another world. Love it!
Haven't really tried many weapons tbh. My endgame was mostly starscourge greatswords and rivers of blood. I've also been messing around with elenora's poleblade in co-op lately and having fun with it.
I wonder if bringing my vigor up to 60 is worth it for the DLC.
These devs are awesome. New update introduced a boss challenge mode as well as new outfits, all completely free. And they finally freed the booba with a couple of new outfits that undo the censorship of the previous outfits.
New outfits (potentially NSFW):
Has anyone started a new Elden Ring run in prep for the DLC? I started a new game. Don't plan on finishing it but it's a good opportunity to get used to the controls again.
I'm still blown away by the complexity of Stormveil Castle. The sheer amount of paths, verticality, and the...
Are they though? I remember a golden age of games with no microtransactions, no season passes, no loot boxes, no cash grabs of any kind. And the games were actually complete and bug free on release. On top of that, games included the tools used to build them. With Half-Life you got the Hammer...
I'm about 8 hours in. Very addicting so far. I'm getting major Nier Automata vibes, especially the music.
Game is very polished except maybe the platforming. I've died quite a few times to some clunky platforming.
Combat is great. Might be a tad easy for some. I somehow managed to beat the...
I have the B650E Taichi Lite: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B650E%20Taichi%20Lite/Specification.asp#Download
Thunderbolt controller is from June 2023
I don't know if I care enough to install a newer driver from a 3rd party site. I don't even use Thunderbolt.
Solved! It was the thunderbolt driver. Uninstalling it fixed the issue.
Huge shout out to this gigachad who discovered the solution: https://steamcommunity.com/app/381210/discussions/0/3952532649323378129/
Man... I'd be screwed if I hadn't found that post.
But like... That wouldn't show up anywhere else? I've been using this PC since Christmas. Surely a memory fault would've crashed my other games by now? Especially more graphically intense games like Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2.
I also just tried another EAC game (Fall Guys) and that one works fine.
Update: It appears to be EAC causing my system to crash. I disabled EAC and it's no longer crashing!
However... That's not really a good long term solution if I want to play multiplayer.
I found this thread describing the same issue...
I'm trying Elden Ring out on my new PC and it's crashing my whole entire system. Game runs fine for a few minutes and then the frame rate drops to 3 (literally 3), audio becomes choppy, my whole system is lagging like crazy, then my computer reboots. Happens even if I'm just sitting on the title...
Demo is quite nice. It's way harder than I thought. I thought it would be a Nier-like but it's very much a Sekiro-like with a focus on parrying. It also has the trademark attack delays where the enemies wind up, pause for x amount of time, then unleash their attack. So it's all about memorizing...
Found the culprit. Somehow my Windows power settings got updated to turn my display off after 15 minutes. Not sure how. It was previously set to never.
My C1 has been powering itself down after sitting idle for a while. It must be from a recent update because it never did this before. What I like to do is use the "screen off" setting when I walk away to prevent burn in. This leaves the display powered on but the pixels off. I figure it's better...
You need to edit the input and set it to PC mode. Look up how to do it for your model.

I don't know... Here's a few examples in my 1 hour of play:
- Pedestrians randomly freak out, start screaming, and running for their lives despite nothing happening
- First firefight I get in one of the pedestrians just stands there, stares into space, and every 10 seconds yells out "she's...
First time playing since release... It's still janky AF. I reach a traffic jam and accidentally bump into an AI car. Well that set off a ridiculous chain of events where the AI car decided to floor it and drive around in circles, colliding with nearly every car on the road. Eventually cars...
Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850W
It happened twice in the span of 2 days which is what prompted me to make the thread.
It's a bit slow to post in general. Like maybe 10 seconds before I get a video signal for a normal boot. I just hope these 1 minute outliers are a rarity. Otherwise I can try...
Hi all. I built a new system recently and noticed that it sometimes takes a full minute to post during a cold boot. During this time, I have no video signal and the "GEFORCE RTX" LED on my video card is off. After a minute, the LED finally turns on and it posts.
It's intermittent. Sometimes it...
What about it isn't a huge leap? The passthrough quality is light years ahead of the Quest 2. Though I suppose that isn't saying much. I could douse my eyes in battery acid and get a better image than Quest 2's passthrough.
Frame gen is making the lower quarter of the screen tear for me. Is there any way to avoid that? Gsync is on, vsync is on in NVCP, vsync is off in game. Frame rate is capped at 117 in NVCP (display caps out at 120 hz).
But sometimes cheap also lasts too. Case in point. My 10+ year old Staples Hyken. $140 chair btw.
Not a single thing wrong with it aside from some cracking on the rubber arm rests.
No back problems to report but I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this.
