I am right there with you. I've been eeking out and meager 4K 60hz existence with a highly overclocked 980ti for quite some time. The last year or so, it has started to show its age significantly with me having to turn quite a few settings down. I held off on getting a 1080ti at launch to...
Yep, that's my dilemma. Unfortunately, it is a modem with the router built in. I cant' seem to figure out a way to turn off the QoS or funnel the channels independently. I was hoping that a more advanced user than myself with FIOS may have figured out a way around this problem.
Hi guys,
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out a solution to my trouble regarding bandwidth allocation for each port on my Actiontec MI424WR router. I have Frontier FIOs 25mb/s service and have completed several speed test verifying that I am indeed receiving the full bandwidth advertised...
yea its bumming me out. I vastly prefer desktops but I needed a mobile platform that with enough ass to do what I need while traveling. Only reason I decided to get this one was because they offered me a tremendous deal on it. I'll try the oven thing after I secure some compound and pads and...
Hello all,
Unfortunately, I was cranking along the other day with my Alienware M18x just fine and dandy when all of a sudden, my video artifacted out BADLY and crashed.
Afterwards, I would not post no matter how much I tried. So unfortunately was led to the conclusion that it likely was...
Hello all,
I am considering on selling my Alienware M18x and I'm looking for advice and suggestions concerning the approx resell valuation for it. It is in good condition.
Here are the specs:
Processor: Intel Core i7 2820QM, 2.3GHz(3.3GHz w/Turbo Boost, 8MB Cache)
Hard Disk Drive 320...
Screw that, I use a KB/M in recliner every day. Just as easy as sitting at a desk but much more comfortable. No way in hell am I trading in a KB/M for a controller, especially in a FPS, just because I'm sitting in a recliner.
I got mine and my brother's to 3.4 with little difficulty and nice temps. 3.6 was very hard to keep stable without some pretty elaborate work. It'll do it but it ran so well at 3.4 that I didn't input the extra hassle.
Definitely impressive but a little steep at launch. With this kind of performance bump it makes a person hopeful for the future of PC hardware and gaming. Makes me wonder what kind of toys I'll be buying for next year's tax refund.
You might find yourself skeptical about whether or not the upgrade in resolution will make that much difference..... that is until you actually see the difference in action. It is is pretty significant tho you'll probably be best off to upgrade you Vcard too.
I have considered holding out for it but I'm not sure that there is any information about a concrete release date. I definitely would prefer it in every way unless I could get an awesome deal on the K90
Hmm, probably the same people who drop several grand for multi-card setups to run multi-monitor setup like 3 x1080p or 3 x 1600p. The only thing relevant about the entire argument is whether or not ultra high resolutions are EVER used for pc gaming. Hell there are several eyefinity/surround...
Anyone who buys a TV will have access to 4K resolution. No less than 5 companies companies intend on releasing 4K sets this year. By your logic, you're making the assumption that "desktop" is only form-factor that people utilize for computing and PC gaming. You don't believe that anyone will...
No..... You seem so incredibly sure of that.
680 Specs: 1536 Stream Processors, 128 TMUs, and 32 ROPs
Titan Specs: 2688 Stream Processeors, 224 TMUs, 48 Rops
Titan: ~ 60% greater than 680 in raw specifications
Assuming that the Titan provides absolutely zero improvements to computing...
CES provided TONS of evidence for why anyone would need such a powerful card. Nearly every major manufacturer is releasing multiple 4K screens and are scheduled to do so this year. 2560x1600 is an assturd resolution compared to 3840 × 2160. You may not need the power right now, but seeing as the...
I would always select "Too Hard" over "Too Easy" any day of the week. I rarely play games on normal, even on the first playthrough. It always thrills me when developers include super difficult modes because it makes "getting good" at the game worth it. If I have trouble with an area, I will...
Nearly ALL cards release at a premium. However, it has been a long time since a company as released a card that is literally double the performance of the previous flagship card. I won't be buying at 900 no; but considering the 680's hover around 450 still, $900 for double the performance is not...
I fuggin hope so because that would be fuggin awesome!
Afterwards, I hope AMD releases a card so ridiculous that it turds out Titans like a morning shit after a midnight Chipotle eating contest.
Then, I hope Nvidia releases a card that uses the AMD card like an adult diaper on a kinky...
Wanted to run BF3 on a 120hz monitor and keep the framerate above 100fps?! Holy crap, I'm sure someone would have told you that it would be a fool's folly to accomplish that; 1700 dollars or not. I am sorry you're disappointed with your setup though, if you are too disappointed I would be happy...
I am wanting to purchase a few HDD in excellent condition. I am really only interested in large capacity drives only (1GB or greater). Both externals and internals are acceptable but I would prefer that they are usb 3 compatible. I am completely open to prices and would consider competitive...
It is ironic that you are encountering the same circumstances that I once had. I absolutely loved my Sidewinder x8, and having owned many mice from Razer to Logitech, I never imagined I would find one I liked much better. That is when I did a little research and found the G700. I've owned a G5...
Sennheiser's stuff is top-notch, I would recommend them as well. They make a few gaming headsets that are pretty great, but I prefer the higher end circumaural reference quality headphones with a mic. AKG's higher end stuff is pretty great as well.
